This literally fixed all my problems. The steps you included for putting the settings files in the saves folder isn't mentioned in other videos and everything worked! Thanks for being actually step by step! :)

BIg thank you. But for those who struggle with starting and face issues where server is not present anywhere. If you start the server on separate machine without graphic card or virtual machine you have to install some applications so it could work properly. Check VRisingServer Log file so you could see that the server actually starting or not. If you see these errors: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object etc. THEN what you have to do is install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable version и DirectX End-User Runtimes. Just to make sure i also installed Microsoft framework and updated integrated graphics drivers. After those actions server showed up fine.

I've been troubleshooting this all afternoon, spending most of my time configuring and testing port forwarding settings. I'm so glad I came across your comment. This was the fix for me! I'm using a machine I only use for dedicated servers like this, and downloading Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable finally allowed my server to show up on the list in-game. Thank you for solving this!

Wanted to say thanks for calling out the Log File, while your solution didn't fix my issue. Finding the log file and reading the error's helped me identify the problem. My server is back up and running now!!

broooo thank you so much! I was getting desperate changing the difficulty setting on a running save file... finally someone mentioning it! It's so unintiutive to change "Gamedifficulty" : "Normal" , to "Gamedifficulty" : 2 😖 Thanks!

Glad to help. Several settings are like that so try typing 0, 1, or 2 rather than words if you aren't getting the results you want.

I do not have the ServerGameSettings in my save data. Do you know why?

Did you run the .bat file? You have to run it once for some of the folders and files to appear.

my sever doesnt appear even after i followed step by step and even started over as well. I even tried to direct connect through my ip and still nothing. Firewall disabled and all

If you can't do a direct connect via IP then some part of the setup is missing. If both computers are on the same network you should be able to connect using 192.168.1.X where x is the PC running the server. Be sure to enter :9876 or whatever port you used in port forwarding.

I have a problem, I have followed the video and my friends cannot see the server in their list and they can only connect by IP and it cannot be all the time giving them the IP. Is there a solution to this problem?

Your IP shouldn't change so you shouldn't have to give it to them each time. If it is changing Google how to set a static IP. Also make sure you set show on steam and show on eos to true. The Last thing would be to forward the extra ports for steak that I showed during the port forwarding part of the video.

How do we setup a No Wipe server ?

Just setting up a server will not automatically wipe it. You would have to manually delete the server or start a fresh server if you want to wipe.
