Any plans for new coaches based on the long-since-broken-up Kimballs ordered for the original V & T back in 1871? Steel frames would be needed for current FRA structural requirements, but oak and redwood are satisfactory for the bodywork. (The Kimballs were built on wood frames, as was the standard at the time.)

+B. C. Schmerker Not sure, I have been away from the RR stuff for a while (this is a private channel, not officially the V&T) but I'll check with Tom to see what he knows. Without doing any research, aren't some of those original coaches at the Nevada State Railroad museum? If you haven't had a chance to get to Virginia City, they have really done a huge amount of work on these coaches in the six years since I shot this video. Why don't they ever work on those wooden coaches and that SP 0-6-0? they've been there for so long!
