One of V’s favourite artists is Etta James. He has always talked about his deep love of Jazz & many ARMYs are hoping his album has a good mix of jazz included. He has teased us over the years with snippets of songs he has written that have a jazz vibe, so here’s hoping! Re. Festa - it’s the annual celebration of BTS’ debut & this year was their 10th anniversary (something unusual in KPop). The whole city of Seoul celebrated & ARMYs from all around the world went to Korea this year to celebrate. There are lots of KZbin videos about this. The fireworks finale on the 17th was spectacular!

FESTA is a (usually) two-week celebration BTS does every year to celebrate the anniversary of their debut. They celebrate by giving ARMY gifts most days during the celebration every year. This year lasted longer (over three weeks), and it included lots of extras because it was their 10-year anniversary. This was the best gift. You can tell that Tae really loves and takes Jazz seriously. He nailed not only the vocals but the whole atmosphere of Jazz from his clothing, the set, the live instruments. I love how Tae and Minna Soe's voices blend and I hope they do many more songs/performances together. She did the backing vocals for the version of It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas that Tae gave us for Christmas last year. I am so happy Tae is pursuing his love of Jazz and I'm sure he'll also pursue his love of R&B/Soul as well. I've been eager for his solo album and his performances like this make me even more so. I can't wait to see the various genres that Tae explores in his Chapter 2. Jazz is timeless and the type of music he can easily continue doing well into his advanced age. He is a crooner by heart, he loves jazz and his dream is to release an album with that type of music, but since it is not considered commercial it won't happen anytime soon. He got his wish with this performance and we loved it!! Have you listened to his other solo songs "Sweet Night" (Soundtrack from the K-drama "Itaewon Class" ) and "Christmas Tree" (Soundtrack from "Our Beloved Summer"), they are AMAZING!! 💜

No you are not alone!!! We've been on a quest to get a jazz album (original tracks, standards or even a xmas album) from him since at least 2018!!!😭😭😭 It's coming tho I'm sure!! And he's been good friend with Jon Batiste for a bout a year now who recently tweeted about him... i have high hopes!! If he does standards I hope there's gonna be autum leaves and somewhere over the rainbow (the version with Keith Jared on the piano), he referenced these several times recently... and he's been playing and practicing on some brass instruments... he played 2 months ago an original track from his phone on live called "Maybe" absolutely beautiful jazz song but said he's gonna release it in 10 years💀 So good I thought it was a standard I didn't know!!!! (You can find it on youtube) So he's been hinting at this for a while now.... now we wait

The pianist is a long time friend of the group and producer/composer for them who goes by the name Docskim (he produced and co-wrote Wildflower, and Liejust to name two). The guitarist is John Eun who produced Forg_tful and No.2 on Indigo for RM who he is close friends with. Tae's jazz voice is so gorgeous and Minna So who he sang with also helped rearrange the song here.

Festa is BTS anniversary every year on thier anniversary they release free stuff for gifts to thier fans. This year was extra special because it was thier 10th year. BTS did a bunch of stuff for ARMY in Korea it was a celebration for little over two weeks they ended it with a 30 minute spectacular fireworks over the Han River to BTS songs, they spent at leadt 10m just on fireworks it was live stream for ARMY, RM performed a couple of songs and spoke with fans too.
