[V1 RELEASE] Mercedes New Actros OM471 Sound Mod by Max2712

Welcome to the release of my Mercedes New Actros OM471 sound mod for ETS2!
This sound pack features high-detailed sound samples recorded from a 2018 Mercedes Arocs 3248 (the off-road Actros) equipped with the 12.8 l OM471 engine. All sounds have been recorded with my new high-quality studio sound recording equipment, resulting in very high sound quality and an incredibly realistic sound experience!
The engine has been recorded in 4+1-channel format with 4 synchronized microphones placed around the engine & exhaust. Not only that, but all interior switches, sticks and tones, the Powershift gearbox and air-brake sounds, the air-horn and much more has also been recorded and added into this pack! Every single sound you can hear in the real Actros MP4 can also be heard with this mod in ETS2 (at least as far as the game allows :P)

Absolutely nailed it, especially the shifting sounds! No-one else gets that like low rumble/grunt as it goes down to the lower RPMs but you have it nailed.

Quasi ein Zwangskauf. Wirklich super Arbeit. Ich erwische mich immer dabei das ich beim Start des Motors mitkämpfe ob er den Start packt. Wirklich geil. Wäre aber echt noch geil wenn man eventuell das abpfeifen der Trailerbremse noch besser hinbekommen würde. Aber das ist Jammern auf hohen Niveau.

Vielen Dank! Das mit dem Bremsgeräuschen liegt daran, dass der Lkw keinen Anhänger hatte als ich ihn aufgenommen habe (bzw. dass man an den überhaupt keinen Anhänger anhängen kann weil keine Anhängerkupplung xD) Werde aber in Zukunft sicherlich mal noch die typischen Trailerbremsgeräusche neu aufnehmen und dann einfügen

Yes it does work. And yes, it replaces the SCS OM471 sound files, so it's compatible with every normal engine and doesn't add new ones unlike other paid sound mods

Recommended audio settings can be found on the Gumroad page at the top in a picture. And if the bass is too strong for you, just lower the exhaust sound volume in the game settings

It's most likely because of your game version. You need to be on 1.43.3.40 at least

Hey Max, I have huge respect for who dedicate their time to making amazing mods for this game but I would like to point something I particularly miss on these OM-47X sound mods, your mod proposal and execution in game is top quality and worth way more, it sounds like the new Actros for sure and is the best one but these sounds for me bring the same issue as Kriechebaum's 'OM471/OM473 sounds, this also extends to your OM470 the issue is it sound way too muffled even from outside view. not in the sense of being lowered volume or quiet, it's like if there's a thick blanket of foam covering the entire engine, it lacks some "roar" at certain revs, a "roar" that resemble a bit the classic OM engines but very subtle, the "OM473" from SCS has something on this sense but the execution is way too terrible as usual in all SCS sounds but just something I would like to point out that might be considered for a possible future version for exemplify better what I'm referring to i will post some half links to some yt videos: Video1 (OM471): watch?v=55hOtp3NnZQ around 3:07 - 3:37 Video2 (OM471): watch?v=qEnxxzwmyiU around 4:29 Video3 (DD15): watch?v=5JEtDZYO8Yg may not be 1:1 to OM471 but thats especific detail on roaring engine it's even audible from 28:26 I've never driven or neither got into an Actros, but I see them passing by quite often, i may completely wrong about these missed details or i was just hearing too much

Non no you didn't misheard or nothing it's true that that detail is missing because i drive a OM470 powered MB antos MP4 1840 and this particular detail is missing. But i've never understood how you could recreate it in ETS2 so i think that's why it is not represented in the game

Not really, there's the Swap Body Chassis mod by Sebastian in the SCS forum, but it's not 100% compatible with Schumi's truck. But IIRC there's also a rigid addon for the Kast boxes available for the Actros

no mirrow cam.. great.. that one is the best outside game aswell, the only high cab with winning precision in steering, you can really aim with that truck unlike any other.. for example brand new MAN is trash, useless piece of junk, not only that its not comfortable, but mechanically is crap too, i keep encountering them all the time broken at the side of the road but new.. steering is disaster, literally the worse, gets even stiffer when you couple the trailer for some reason.. actros if new or maintained is really good if its not mirrow cam.. mirrow cam is such night mare, no way to get used to it and quality of the video is not even HD.. only rarely you can have advantage from it but gets much more disadvantage, 90 percent experienced drivers hate mirrow cams... monitors staring at your face and even blocking your view outside the cabin and at night f.... Nightare, all that additional artificial light in the cab, blue light that you stare at for hours and hours..
