Hi, I just found your channel and my quest for anything V11 as mine comes this December 2022 I'm now on the V8f and I love it but I just know the V11 is going to be more fun I've only been riding since July so still quite new to it but lots a bug and I guess once it's got you it's for life, anyway great videos thanks for sharing and I'll be hunting any other V11 videos.

Hey- congrats! You’ll love it- it’s such a great wheel. About 2500 miles on mine now, still loving it. I’ve got a couple other V11 vids on the channel- and editing a nice ride we did last week on it right now.

Just got my V11, having a blast! Some tips: get yourself some powerpads it makes the V11 safer since you can brake in a shorter distance. Also, flypads are really useful on this wheel if you hit a pothole and the suspension tries bounce you off. Lastly you should really consider a full face helmet - once you've seen someone faceplant you'll never wear a half helmet or bicycle helmet again. Goodluck!
@RealMikeDobbs4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips! I've been thinking of getting a full face helmet, haven't done it yet because I cruise around 15-17 pretty much all the time. I've thought about power pads too, interested to see how they affect the ride. It's a great wheel for sure, thanks for watching 👍

@Andrei Petunin LOL - that's actually one reason I haven't done it yet- I don't want to tempt myself 😂

@MikeDobbs76 I think no pads is the reason you were bounced off on that path, especially if you run your suspension bouncy. Im waiting for my V11 to arrive in the next batch in a couple of weeks - i am currently looking for power pads to attach day 1 (recommendations welcome!). Also to the other point, i have faceplanted on my Ninebot S2 at around 25kmh, i now have a full face helmet. Remember that even at 17kmh you are still sliding your face along tarmac, which it won't like - trust me. :)

@@iNicklen When I saw the video of the fall for the first time that was the very first thing that popped into my head as well. I kind of shifted my weight backwards too far and the wheel just left me behind, which I don't think would have happened with pads. It's definitely something I'm thinking about. My concern is ending up feeling too "locked in" and losing the ability to bail easily when needed. What happened on the S2- did you overpower it? Was it a component failure? Sorry to hear about the fall. The way I ride I figure there is basically zero chance of me ever having an overpower cutout- mechanical/electrical failure is the only way I'm going off the front. Still, it's something that weighs on me. Definitely leaning towards getting one soon. Thanks for the feedback 👍

Looks like you all had a blast and I'm glad you popped your V11 off-roading cherry 😄 I really do like the idea of the V11, as it's the most refined of the three suspension wheels. Would love to see the next iteration with more torque, say a 2500W motor, and a larger battery pack. Looking forward to your next adventure!
@RealMikeDobbs4 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! Off-road was a lot of fun, I’ll definitely be going back to do more trails in the future. I agree with the refinement aspect of the V11, I think that’s something Inmotion does well; and if the past is any indicator there could be a V11F in the future. Thanks for watching- road trip with the V11 dropping next week 👍

Good vid -- I start with Inmotion on V10F, moved up to my current wheel the MSP HT and now think to go to an V11. At 55 my knees as telling me to take it easier. I am still concerned about the bearing issue. I dont do much in the way of wet riding, usually I just go out on good weather days, but it still concerns me say if a take a few puddles here and there. Did you get the new motor in? Cheers from Richmond hill. Ont, Canada.
@RealMikeDobbs3 жыл бұрын
Hey Patrick- thanks for watching 👍 The suspension is nice- definitely makes a difference in comfort, especially on long term rides. I was just on my V10F the other day, and while I still really like that wheel my knees feel the bumps a lot more. The motor swap is half done right now. When my retailer shipped me out a replacement motor I had cracked a rib riding off-road with my Onewheel, so put off doing the job. Life got busy, and just this week I finally got around to it. Unfortunately, the replacement motor arrived with two damaged hall sensors, so now I'm waiting to hear back from my retailer.

Hey Mike, I was just looking up this telegraph program thing and it’s asking for my phone number then on the IOS App Store the app wants money per month. I’m getting red flags with this method. If you have telegraph up and running, can you just pass a message along to that group? Or think of something else?

Hi Mike, lovely video, I would like to ask you what camera are you using here, and also what's your feedback on the V11, I am very tempted to buy it! But I've heard it has a some issues. Especially bearing. P.s. why did you fall from the wheel on the trail? Did it cut off?
@RealMikeDobbs4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. Personally, I really love the V11. As you can see in the video I'm no speed demon, and I'm not an aggressive rider- so I think the V11 is close to a perfect wheel for me. It has enough battery, the design is refined, and the suspension works well for what I do. Full Disclosure, my wheel did have a vibration issue with the motor- but it was a batch 1 or 2 wheel, and they sent me a replacement motor. I fell because I'm inexperienced- that was my first time on trails. I was hesitant approaching a large root, and shifted my weight too far to the back. I've never had a cutout with the wheel.
@skobuffs74 жыл бұрын
looked like a fun ride! are you replacing the V11 motor yourself or sending the wheel back?
@RealMikeDobbs4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, had a great time. I'll be replacing it myself- shouldn't be too bad. It does have a lot of screws, but I'm just gonna go slow and be organized.
@RealMikeDobbs4 жыл бұрын
@MastaWin This is a batch 2 wheel, and there were issues with SOME of the the batch 1 and 2 motors. I'm not sure if my issue is the motor itself, or the bearing; there is a noticeable vibration under acceleration/deceleration. This kind of thing is a risk with early batches of new wheels, so I don't fault Inmotion- they're trying a lot of new things with this wheel and there are bound to be some issues. The motor will be replaced under warranty, so I'm just waiting for the replacement motor right now. The wheel is still rideable (as you can see), it just has a strange vibration under power.

@@RealMikeDobbs You still happy with the unit?
@RealMikeDobbs3 жыл бұрын
Oh yes- I really love it. There's no perfect wheel, but this one is pretty darn close for me. It's extremely comfortable to ride, and my favorite type of riding is laid back cruising with my wife on her little eBike. If we average around 14-15 mph I can get 50+ miles on this wheel no problem (I'm about 180lbs right now). It's very capable on trails as well, and is very easy to trolly around when not riding.
@ruskeee4 жыл бұрын
Gotta bend those knees and use your whole body dynamically to maintain balance on those trails, even with suspension 😉
@RealMikeDobbs4 жыл бұрын
Yeah- that definitely makes sense. My posture isn’t so much borne of relying on the suspension as just being really nervous on my first trails and getting a little stiff as a result. The GoPro flattens it out, but I swear those hills were bigger than they look, and the pucker factor was high!
@ruskeee4 жыл бұрын
@@RealMikeDobbs One thing I've found helpful is riding in more of a squat stance. Especially under braking, it allows you to shift your weight rearward while keeping your knees in position to control the wheel. Of course it all comes down to just getting used to it. I've gotten very comfortable with my V10 but I'm sure it's a whole different experience with the V11. Can't wait for mine to arrive already!

watching u go down was cringe worthy! No gear, no face protection...i was expecting the worst!😖 Im still waiting to get back on my wheel after shattering my elbow (12/3!). Broke the one thing that WASN'T protected. The one day i felt too lazy to gear up.....$37k in bills. Still doing therapy. Collarbone pops nonstop. My knee is still rashed and scabbed almost 3 months later. Only armored motorcycle gear for me! Its not a matter of if, its WHEN...
@RealMikeDobbs4 жыл бұрын
Hi Miguel, thanks for the concern. I’m wearing knee and elbow pads, butt/hip pads, as well as wrist guards. On the fence about a full face helmet- I rarely ride above 16mph or so (much slower on trails), so that is a calculated risk. Sorry to hear about your elbow.
