So many talking about how bad it sounds. Yeah, at first I was like, "What the Fuck!!??"....but started thinking, maybe they didn't have a flat plane crank in it, then they said it was originally a "marine engine" so it's probably angled differently than what a Ferrari or Lamborghini V-12 is angled at. Firing order of the pistons are probably different too. Then the exhaust is not the tuned titanium exhausts that we have come use to hearing from Ferrari V-12's, or Lamborghini V-12's.... Just a few factors to think about. With saying all that, I'm still sure it could probably use a good tune up.

Does it have a normal v12 firing order? It sounds like a 5cylinder mixed with a v8 must be the wrong exhaust setup

It does have a maritime sound to it like a high powered boat.

Employees casually walking by @ 3:38 are either not car guys or the museum brings the ZR-12 out every other day.

GM also developed a "lightweight" version of the Lotus-designed LT-5 powered ZR-1, which had 425hp, to complete with the Viper as well.

It sounds like it's missing! I thought it would sound awesome but it sounds like it's sick.

1:32 "The same displacement as a Viper." INCORRECT. The Viper V10 was 8L (488 cid) from 1992-2002, 8.3L (506 cid) from 2003-2012 and 8.4L (512 cid) from 2013-2017.

You failed to mention. The front end was extended. I remember reading about this car years ago. The whole front end is linger to accommodate a longer engine. Since every Corvette C1 through C7 has been a front mid-engine.
