The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like they did back in 1954 still get a tear in my eye when I hear an old train in the night.

I didn't know BNSF had an office car special. I see the pan am office car special in Maine but I might see the csx one when csx buys pan am railways. I don't know what will happen to the pan am ocs train once csx buys pan am, Hopefully it gets preserved

Yeah, the F Units Pan Am has look really sharp.

Living on the BNSF railway in Kansas is really nice I get to see amazing trains a bunch of warbonnets but this passenger train I see about twice every other week! I will try to record some clips of it going by and send it to you! Have an amazing day and it’s my dad’s birthday today so if you could say happy birthday to him he would love it! He always loves your videos when they come out!

Yea. They always seem to pull them off a dp unit on a coal train and make us wash them for 2 days to get them clean

Atlanta might have traffic, but they get heritage units and cool power every day. Here in Columbus Ohio we have a major NS line, but we only get 1-3 heritage units per week usually, and half the time its hard to catch them because they sometimes stop for hours in unknown places without being reported or heard on scanners. Its way easier to catch soutbounders because they rarely stop, and they usually get reported from webcams, making them way easier to time correctly.

I believe BNSF coal trains can range anywhere from 7 to 14 thousand feet, definitely cool to see the mega coal trains as the 14 or so thousand feet ones are called

Really nice video! I love your sequencing and storytelling. Also, how did you do that time-lapse at 4:39? Time-Lapse is one technique I have not tried and, even though short, your was a really nice shot.

Thanks Danny! I used my GoPro for that. Most new cameras, even mirrorless and DSLRs, have built in timelapse functions. Just lock in your exposure and white balance and let it go! I then import all the images into Davinci Resolve and it automatically makes the timelapse for me.
