Who do you think will win in the World's Hardest Climbing Test? A 9a/ V15 climber or an 8b / V10 climber? It would seem obvious but there is a twist.....
Guess you will just have to watch to find out ;)

It's quite interesting that there is not much of lower body tests... Idk, squats, high steps, deadlift... Also nothing especial for the shoulders
@LatticeTraining
@LatticeTraining 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Alejandro. We do include things like pistol squats. Also isometric rack pulls in a more detailed testing. And we may choose to do more measures of rotator cuff strength and ROM tests. As you can see, sticking to the basics still takes a long time so we need to cut things to make is appropriate for a single visit and reduce fatigue. So we tend to keep these extra tests athlete/goal specific.

I found it interesting that Matt was using a chisel grip for his max hangs! It's my preferred grip, but I keep reading that I should learn the half crimp since the main difference is that I also get to pull more actively with the index finger. Any thoughts?

It's also interesting to note how much Mat pulls down and you pull out, Josh (look @12:46). Something I've been working on in my own climbing, pulling down through the hold to gain a bit more strength, through the upper body, rather than pulling out and missing out on shoulder/back strength
@JoshRundle
@JoshRundle 2 жыл бұрын
Yes! When I was editing this I think I was pulling wrong which could have effected my score. I should have been doing what Mat was doing and sinking into the hold, pulling down :)

@slapthesloper

They compare it to your height so it basically does end up being the angle since the highest score would be at 180 degrees
