Doctrine of Subsidiary alliance -17April 1799 to 4May 1799 by Lord Wallesly Revenue Farming When peasants lacked the means to cultivate their land or cultivation was impossible due to a calamity, the lands were farmed out on ijarah to a third party known as revenue farmers. It was forbidden for revenue officials or their families to take land on ijarah.

Bahadur shah 1 is called shah i bekhabar. He created financial bankruptcy. To solve this issue, jahandar shah introduced ijardari system.

Izardari system is basically the contract farming. where the right to collect the revenue goes to the highest bidders. firstly introduced by the warren hasting in 1772 after abolishing the dual government system of robert clive. firstly introduced for 5 year but after 1977 it made annually. due to the lot of corruption in Izardars this system finally collapsed

The moamoria revolt also had some other reasons. Ahom king assassinated moamoria guru which made them angry towards ahom rule. And if anyone wants more information regarding how Ahoms controlled the moamoria rebel then follow Edward Gaits assam history or SL Boruahs Assam history.
