Now, instead of waiting a few years for something to be considered classic (as Carpenter rightly suggests we should do), the "instant classics" pop up every 5 minutes. and in reality there's been a handful of American movies made since the 2000s that people will remember as being significant in 25 years. there's no concern for timelessness or durability because our films - like our music - are our technology now. it's how something is made rather than how or why it means that people care about today. Am I wrong to want a reboot of this movie? I have thought of several ways to do it. 1: completely CGI Snake Pliskin as his young original self and have Kurt Russel do the voice. 2: make it an animated movie. 3.
