The Ventura story got me. Two time cancer fighter here. I know what it's like to hope people talk about you after you're gone. You meet a lot of others with cancer while you go through treatment, unfortunately many don't make it. Good to see others keeping them here by continuing a build and talking about them. 12's in a chevette would be a hoot. From my childhood, I remember our local track had an orange chevette with a BBC mounted so the carb was in the cowl. It was damn cool and I still remember how wacky it was.

Love that V6 Chevette! Drove up from San Antonio to Ennis for Day 2 to watch the race and meet some of the drivers, they’re super friendly folks! Ran into them again at the Hotel when they where driving in! Definitely getting the Bug to do this next year, in what, no idea! lol

I believe the first Steet Week was run in '17, but the swedes have had serious drag racing since the late 60s and and a serious street race enviroment since the 80s. You can probably also find videos from the famous annual illegal street race Stockholm Open here on YT, with some really fast cars competing

I live in Denmark (work here atm) and I visited DW 2017 and one more drive event in 2018. It is possible and it isn't that expensive. I flew to Chicago on a cheap ticket, rented the cheapest rental (and least complicated one!) and drove it around following the racers for a week and stayed in cheap motels. Was just fine, authentic and mingled with the racers and tried non chains for food to support locals. Was sub 1600 euros for the whole tour iirc.

WTF!! You are one of the most important promoters of racing on youtube and the US. You never should have gotten demonetized by these sh^t heads, because they are still showing ads on your video as it plays. You should contact the companies advertising and get them to sponsor your videos directly sometimes. You have over 3 million subscribers and the companies would be nuts not to sponsor your coverage. That big green diesel would be the perfect candidate for a bed mounted camper. They could use the whole camper for tools/parts and then pull into the pits, put the legs down on the camper, pull out from under it, then make their passes. At the end of the day, back up and put the camper back into the bed and roll out.

I really enjoyed the coverage on the couple and their chevette. a best friend from middle/high school, his family were big into the demolition derby oval track etc etc stuff. country fair stuff, his mom would enter chevettes into the female demo derby. what a fun time that was, this got me wanting to hunt down a chevette and do the same thing...wicked little street car

Thunder valley is my top 3 track outta all the tracks in texas oklahoma louisiana and kansas. Its a cool old school laid out track. We ran our class race there back in may this year and had a great time. The air was pretty decent and the hotrod ran pretty fast. I think it made its fastest top two pass since we built it. The fastest ever so far in 4 years was at no problem in louisiana

@35:23,, the wicked 7 sec Firebird vs beautiful silver '55,, I'm thinking "why these two against each other? the '55 doesn't have a chance,," WOW was I blown away when we see near the end of the track the '55 is OUT ON THE FIREBIRD by almost a car, held the Firebird off until almost the stripe!
