Do they have enough time any milk to feed this many? I am seeing babies disappear during my hamster's second batch. I am wondering if I should remove some let them feed then remove them and switch them out do this for the first few days until each one is strong enough to fight for milk. They die when they can't.

“Shopping” refers to purchasing an animal that was bred to be sold and make the breeder money. It doesn’t matter who is selling it or where they’re selling it. The point is, don’t support breeding of more animals when there are so many that already need homes.

I’m sensing some sarcasm and passive aggression in your question but I’ll answer it anyway for the sake of others who read this: 1) ONLY get an animal for someone other than yourself if you’ve spoken at length with the person and they have done research on that species’ requirements to THRIVE in their home, not just survive, and also they should be FULLY committed to keeping that animal it’s entire life, however long that may be. One of the biggest reasons animals are given up is that people get them on a whim, or their kid won’t shut up about it, or they were given it as a present but didn’t really want it or didn’t have the circumstances to care for it. 2) If the person has done their research and is committed, you can then find almost any “normal” pet species in shelters or rescue groups. OR you can look on sites like Craigslist and search for people who need to find a new home for their pet that they can no longer care for. Just be very careful and make sure that the person is not a breeder/seller in disguise. It is standard practice for pet owners to charge a “rehoming fee” of $15 or so just to rule out people with bad motives. But I’d be wary of anything around or more than the normal price that someone would pay for that animal in a pet store setting. A good sign that it’s an owner rehoming their animal is if they offer to send the supplies with the animal. BUT, one other caution in regards to those supplies: Most cages for small animals are HORRIFICALLY inappropriate for those animals. Also, many times people use the wrong bedding and food. Pretty much, most people in general are complete idiots and have no knowledge of animal husbandry. This is why it’s SO important for people to do lots of research from multiple sources BEFORE getting an animal. Some good resources for guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, gerbil’s and rabbits are Saskia with LA Guinea Pig Rescue, Munchie’s Place, Erin’s Animals and Victoria Raechel all here on KZbin.

Hi.. Hmasters usually give 8 to 10 babies but female cannabalise their kits just after delivery sometimes thats y u hv got only 3 kits and rest got cannabalised.

My fem hamster was able to give birth to 14 babies as my starter breeder was a couple eventually they multiplied to many until i breed second couple and the female gave birth to 10,time went by i already have 6 cages as they grew so well and multiplied fast,i'm a breeder and this is my 5th year

That is a very very bad bedding for a hamster, especially when it's having babies. Not a stable nesting and burrowing material and you can tell its sharp and its poking the babies. Its so hard to watch
