you can add a crossmember over the engine to join the two shock mounts to make it sturdier. that is definitely a masterpiece!!!!

Yeah I was thinking that although the clearance to the actual body will be close. I will check it out 👍
@mattpaul8402 жыл бұрын
You can just make a strut tower going around the front of it instead of going over top for clearance. You definitely want to have those struts connected because you've got a lot of weight and when you start to do actually driving test at higher speeds that whole front end is going to try and frame twist.

Dude this thing is freaking awesome ! After reading the comments and some of the suggestions ,you say you don't want anything on top of the engine ,how about the front ? Some sort of protection and support bracket that fixes 2 issues with one bracket ,also could mount front bumper ,I'm sure you will come up with something ,this is truly one of the best builds I have come across ,you are a master builder my friend ! That v8 sound you just cannot get out of the one cylinder nitro engines ! Lol! Cannot wait to see more keep up the great work !!

Always enjoy your builds, and don't be too hard on yourself for not having more tools. You have managed to build several Toyan powered vehicles with what you have. I know in another comment you had said you don't want anything over the engine; I think a brace across the engine to tie the shock mounts together would help protect the engine from the shock mounts flexing into it if you hit something with a bit of speed. At least I am hoping we will see it rip a little in 3rd gear. It would also help it be more stable so it would be less of a handful running it a little quicker.

@everettstormy2 жыл бұрын
@@RCTanksTrucks247 ight, still would be a good place to add some lightness if needed tho
@scoomber142 жыл бұрын
Since you do not wish to add a crossmember or have clearance issues above the engine… What about adding cross bracing/some form of X pattern to the aluminum plates themselves? No need for a brace over the top/between the two. Just using some 1/4x1/4 square stock to strengthen the plate stock? This would drastically reduce the thin plates ability to twist/bow.
