Good work mate, like the breakdown and showing people that it doesn't need to cost 20k for a conversion.

Took alot of planning and luck but all worked out in the end.

i did a similar swap with a hz sedan in the early 90's, went from 202 m20 to 308 and T400 and cost was about 3000 so similar in todays money i guess

Awesome breakdown mate just bought a hz sedan without a motor and box, just organising parts getting ready for the build 👍🍻

It all adds up, many dont see it when you tell them, it would cost you double if you had someone else do what you know. I had a project for sale years ago needed to sell it, the people dont see your time cost when you tell them what you spent not inc your time as well, I appreciate and enjoy the videos mate I was there too one time.

hi Tailshaft pricing is double the cost it should be . An ALL chromemoly shaft is 1000$ C/moly trans yoke .c/moly weld on yokes / c/moly tube . Any engine thats .040 and worn is worth little . The potential for overheating depends on bore thickness .Engine mounts /chevy brackets 100$+. 4x drum to [f/r disc] Rear disc requires new master and prop valve and ideally r/disc booster / need a Hz/Wb PEDAL for booster speedo cable / kick down wiring/ th400 shifter H/duty fans and radiator for big hp Congratulations not many normal conversions done anymore .
@Joedennett69 Жыл бұрын
The drum prop valve works fine. All 4 where drums now all 4 a disks same proportion for front and rear drum- drum, disk-disk. It would matter if i had a drum rear. Just used a disk brake master on a HQ booster and removed the rear check valve works flawlessly.
@paulthompson1654 Жыл бұрын
@@Joedennett69 prop valve regulates max rear brake pressure as a percent of front rear drum max pressure [which the prop valve limits ] is lower VS rear disc that uses a higher max pressure . Drums have a self energisation effect basically wedges itself against drum . Discs donot . By using the rear drum prop valve on a disc setup u will have less braking at rear . The braking might be unbalanced ie the front will be doing 80-90 % ,[ normal fronts do 60-70%] . Although It will only be an issue when max braking is needed. The info might help u out . The weight of an unladen ute would not req alot of rear braking anyways . The would be approx 100-upto maybe 200psi xtra req for a disc setup . Thats the difference for sedan and statesman/wagon rear drum to rear disc

Early 90,s these things were everywhere. Fact oil is a natural substance, factual the mines dug and land destruction of every thing to make an electrical car is a complete scam . Cheers nice Q

A hq that clean with a shitty old 202 would alone sell for a fair bit more than your entire outlay.. let alone the spec now.. great investment ;)

Can you please let me know where I can get some new MSD LEADS AND A CAP FOR $200. I’m on a budget and would appreciate any info!!!

Hay Joe, what did you use the marry the HQ master cylinder to the 8.8 disc rear end to balance brakes,Cheers Brett
@Joedennett69 Жыл бұрын
Im using the drum brake prop valve and a hq master with the rear check valve removed. Brakes are awsome, stops very easy.

@@Joedennett69 Sweet thanks....Also that 3000 convertor seems to work mint....im worried about getting one that high in the range Im building a 355ci JO bedford on HQ ute chassis with (3.73)8.8 rear and th400....same running gear
@Joedennett69 Жыл бұрын
Was planning on doing a review video on the 3000 stall as the question has been asked a few times. Yes it does work good and makes the car much nicer to drive when the engine has a bit of camshaft. Only drawback is it does soak up a little bit of hp.

Hi Mate, how hard is it to convert from factory 2022 350 Chev? what do I need to buy in order to make it fit and run?
@Joedennett695 ай бұрын
@adamellul9273 Hard question to answer. Depends on what you're doing. To fit the engine to the car, i used a Castlemaine rod shop crossmember for the trans, engine i used ebay mounts. Tailshaft was custom-made. As for everything else to make it run and cool. The list is fairly big if you have nothing to start with. You will have to change out the factory banjo diff, that will grenade. I fitted a ford 8.8 rear but thats a project in itself.

So for people in the US, that converts to $5,039, not bad for everything you did. 👍
