Schedules are categorisation of lists and tables for purpose of political and bureaucratic activities. It's main role is to prevent the bulkiness of Constitution. Suppose that any book which have chapters, serial no, and lists of formulas which are inserted in first or last of the book. In Constitution chapters means parts, serial no means articles and tables of formulas and other important things means schedules I can't sure but it may be inserted in starting of Constitution after the preamble

lets understand with example ... now, there are 28 states and 8 UTs and if we show all 28 states and uts in article one by one then it make our constitution more bulky so what we do ,we make schedule of state and uts and put all state and ut in that schedule . similarly other group of similar things puts in another schedule nd so on ... schedules are given in 3rd or last section in constitution... [ PREAMBLE ] [ ARTICLES ] [ SCHEDULES ]
