V8 S10 Build Ford 8.8 Rear & Suspension Components

I've got an 02 Sonoma I'm getting ready to start building into and I think an 8.8 is the way I'm gonna go for the rear. Thanks for walking us through your gear, looks pretty dope.

Did you change the housing end for 9in or leave stock end

I kept the stock ends so using the c clips. If I would do it again probably do the 9in ends or just use a 9in rear. People seem to be using 8.8 rears as they are with no issues though.

Want a cool cover get one off a 2003 2004 explorer with independent suspension and cut and smooth ears off and bam get a nice aluminum cover with fins and drain plug on it. Bolts right up

Yes sir nice parts, one question: Are you running stock redrilled ford rotors or aftermarket rotors? Also if aftermarket rotors which ones would fit the stock Ford brake calipers? Brand and part #s i have 64 nova with 8.8 rear cutting to size. With chevy axle, wondering what rotors would fit. Kind regards.

I havent got around to assembly of the rear yet but the rotors I got off summit racing. Part # BR-65052LC and BR- 65052RC. I can't confirm they fit for certain since I haven't installed them yet but I believe they should because I filtered the rotors on the website for the year ford explorer I acquired the rear from. Hopefully will find out soon though

good looking parts there we did a similar swap on our Subaru build. Are you planing to do a c-clip eliminator ant some point? keep up the good work
