I know that thing has got to be loud as hell, when you get on it. My friend had a '64 El Camino 355 as well. It had Hooker Comp headers and 2.5" Bullet mufflers. It sounded more mellow at idle, than your truck, probably cause it had a smaller cam, but as soon as you put your foot in it...everyone on the block knew of your presence. He could be heard rowing through the gears, across town, more than a mile away.

@evhgl87 the truck is the same in both videos just differant angles the rearend is out of a ford explorer theyre cheap and the 4x4 have limited slip. but theyre 3 inches wider than stock but thats only 1.5 inches per side the wheels are 10" wide with a 6" inset the explorer rear end is the 8.8 same as the mustang I gave 300.00 for it. we had to shorten the drive shaft Ive read where some people didnt and just got a special ujoint so they didnt have to changing the yoke. hope this helps

@evhgl87 the paint and body was as it is now when we bought it .also had been converted to v8 but it was a bit cobbled up though. we removed the engine went though it and went with a differant carb and cam swap the rearend and straighted the wiring out. install new buckets, seatscarpet and all new gauges. so the answer is i dont know

It will bolt up but the driveshaft was to long so we had one made with a ford end on it. you can buy a ujoint that takes it from chevy to ford if your drive shaft is short enough are wasnt.

its an edelbrock 7102 performer rpm its specs are 318 duration and 510 lift.

@tjr730 I bought this truck for my son who was sixteen now five years later it looks better than it did the day I gave it to him. I dont understand why anyone would do that to there vehicle. Back in the early eighties I had a jeep scambler that I lifted and put 40's on I sold it to a kid that totaled it. sucks I dont know why some kids destroy the cars and some dont my son drove junk first. MAYBE THATS WHY WHO KNOWS

on this video the rear wheels are sticking out, in your 2009 video they are tucked clean. did you shorten the steel tubes in that 8.8 and do a c clip eliminator or did you backspace the wheels? whats the max tread you can run back there? i plan to do an 85 s10 and i currently own a 92 s10.

alright thanks alot got another question are the 8.8 rear c clip of retainer plate? reason im askin all this im fixin to build a 5.3 carb swaped to drop in my s10 blazer and i plan to put a little giggle gas on it nothing major but should be around 450 hp so im trying to find the cheapest way to put a rear that will hold the power and abuse

Ive got a 357 in my s10 and haven't done my exhaust yet and Ive got a set of 2 1/2 super 10 flowmasters but I love the sound of the dynomax mufflers at idle with a lopey cam and on rev they don't sound like shit. Im debating on buying a set of these but im not sure what length to get.
