you have no motor in hole it will have neg camber if you put some weight in the hole it will pre load the springs a bit at that time you use your shims to adjust your neg or pos problem . your upper's are almost bottom out from the looks of it. when you get the motor back in the hole you will back in there messing with shims

So you put 2 of the left side speedway 8 1/2 inch upper control arms on?
@304customsgarage Жыл бұрын
Yes I actually have a set of both the 8" and and 8.5" but currently have the 8.5" ones on there now. Supposedly allows for more adjustment when lowering which I may do also some in the future depending on how it sets. I got the 8's originally and kept them just in case need to switch back

Proforged also makes taller ball joints, and I believe they have boots.

I couldn’t help but notice, the sway bar is still installed. Do I need my sway bar, if I’m only gonna drag race?
@304customsgarage3 жыл бұрын
I don't see why you couldn't remove it if you wanted for a drag only setup. I left mine on since it will be mostly street miles the truck sees vs drag strip passes.

Love this! Gotta do this for my s10. What was the part numbers for the control arms and ball joints?
@304customsgarage3 жыл бұрын
Control arms are speedway # 91031134-L, those particular ball joints are # 91720145-1. The ball joints I don't particularly like the idea of not having the dust boots on them and I would've gotten the afco 1" longer ones with the boots if they had been in stock when I got them but they weren't available so I'll run these for now and see how they do.

Now put the weight of the motor on it and set it on the ground, then do any adjustments that are needed. I laughed too hard at this video.
