I like the way you format these videos man, it’s been really helpful for my own LS E90 build as I gather some parts.

With this being originally an N51 car, do you plan on adding power? I'm asking because mine was previously an N51 car and I'm planning on a power adder, so not sure what I will do for proper fueling. Cool build!!
@Sfdgarage2 ай бұрын
@@nathanshy454 I have another twin turbo ls car so my plan for now is to keep this as just a cam only ls street car/semi daily driver. That being said I’ve already been eyeing up torqstorm superchargers or nitrous kit’s 👀 but likely won’t go through with it. Either way, if you are dead set on a power adder, over build the fuel system so you only have to do it once. Seems like most with high power use the stock pump to feed a surge tank in the trunk with multiple pumps to feed the engine with large lines

Is the steering shaft on the one series steel in the middle or is it all aluminum?

Hey did you have 3 coolant hoses coming from the firewall? On my 08 550i that’s what I have and have to figure out the plumbing.
@Sfdgarage2 ай бұрын
@@Stckit1 this only had two hoses so it was quite easy. The 5 series with three hoses also uses a “water valve” to control flow to the heater core. Functional id imagine that you would delete the water valve, tee two of the hoses together to one heater port on the water pump and the remaining third hose to the other port. But you should join the lse9x Facebook page and ask in there as I’ve seen other e60 swaps going on there

Hello I’ve been considering doing this swap and I think I have all my bases covered other than wiring. Which is not my specialty to say the least. My question is how much of the wiring work could I go without doing (if any) if I had a Standalone Wiring Harness that is a 1 Wire hookup? This is a motor that fully runs on a pallet. Thanks in advance!
@SfdgarageАй бұрын
@@maseningram1527 hey, the issue you’re gonna run into using a stand alone wiring harness that isn’t the Holley or maxxecu is there will not be any CAN bus integration with the vehicle. Lse90 can box can only communicate with a Holley setup to have the interior gauge cluster work. If you are okay with finding another way to monitor engine function inside the car, a stand along gm wiring harness will work just fine. But honestly I think the wiring would be easier if you used a Holley wiring harness/ecu because it’s been covered in depth and works with the bmw chassis perfect.
