I know I'm over a year late with this reply, but yeah, same thing happened with me. Turns out you had to buy her favorite drink at the store with your own money before going to work. That's my only gripe with the game, since you're always encouraged to avoid buying anything deemed unnecessary. Ohh well, it's still a great game though.

I like to imagine Kira Miki looking at Jill when she said that since she knew where she would be in the concert. And then the fans around her come to look at the trio, whispering about who she is or what is her relationship with Kira Miki. While Stella trying to choke her out of jealousy while Sei try to break it. The next day, Jill is humiliated by danger/u/ and even her bar become a mess as several of Kira Miki fans and Streamer-chan fan trying to talk to her.

sweet game. although it kind of scared me at times. mainly because when Jill was talking about her grandfather, I realized that if you do the math, then he would literally be my age (taking into account that by average we have kids at 25-26). we are the grandparents of these ppl if you do the math. that fucked with my brain a few times because of the way Jill kept talking about him in the same way everyone talks about their grandparents. they remember and reminisce about all the cute and nice things their grandparents did. Jill did that just like we do. listening to someone talk about you like this, knowing it will happen in the future is a bit scary ... anyway, that lead me into thinking about the future and seeing how in 2069 well be in our late 70s (at least me) well have kids who are well into their adulthood, hell they will have their own 20 year old kids. we will be old like REALLY OLD and everything we know will be gone, our friends and family will be gone, politics will be different, the internet will be vastly different and were gonna be out of touch with society

What a fine game. I had the game for a while but didn't touch it till now. The thing that got me into it was the Girls' Frontline VA11-Hall-a event storyline (which is really good, by the way) and if anyone hasn't already seen that, I really recommend looking it up. I heard it takes place after the ending, but it's a bit confusing about that until the end.

there is so little closure to so many things, id be lying if i said it didnt make me a little angry. in fact when i saw the credits rolling i was like: "wait i thought im only halfway through?!". at the one hand its the best compliment i can give the game for making me care about its characters and their lifes but at the other hand it pisses me off that they just stopped in the middle of nowhere. its so easy for the content creators to just go with "its up to your imagination what comes after...blah blah ... BULLSHIT". whatever i come up with afterwards is nothing but speculation, but they could just go "well if i think about it the story of character "x" would turn out "so and so" and bam its canon". we as a consumer/customer dont have that and thats what makes it so frustrating! please make a sequel. and if you wanna get crazy and add more gameplay give it a multiple choice mechanic like a bioware game.

Gil remains a mystery up until the end. I don't think you find out who it is he bangs, likely the Bazaar girl the Boss mentions. Virgillio reveals that he was putting on a persona at the bar to conceal his identity. He also mentions he at some point kind of wanted to open a curry stand (why he has one at the end). You don't know why he's concealing his identity, until his ending. Earlier in the game, Sei mentions the reason she became a White Knight is because when she and Stella were kids, a White Knight attacked them, and a second White Knight intervened and saved them. In Virgillio's ending you find out he was that second White Knight, but that the person he attacked was a high ranking officer and so he got heat for his good deed. And pretty sure he had no connection to the bank situation.

Virgillo was once a white knight who killed his superior officer in order to save Sei and Stella when they were little girls. Apperantly the officer did enough damage that Stella needed a robo-eye. He was putting on a flamboyant persona on to avoid white knight and rioter attention since as mentioned, everyone ignores a blabbering bafoon. The girls did track him down and thus gave him a loan for his curry stand -w-

Papers Please is a far better game sure but that is such an apples and oranges comparison when Va11halla is a relaxing visual novel with the "gameplay" being set dressing while Paper Please is oppressive with extremely stressful gameplay.

The ears, drills and eye aren't related to each other. When an fetus is diagnosed with nanomachine rejection, they treat it while it's still in the womb of the mother and the cat ears are a side effect, although some parents just thought it was cute and a fad was started where they used the treatment on healthy children just to get the ears. At a certain point (I think it's when Sei and Jill are talking in the back alley during the break, but I might be wrong), Sei mentions that Stella's particular hairdo is because she has large breasts (which she also tries to hide by wearing dresses that are too tight), and with the drills she wants to draw the attention away from her bust. The eye is the only thing that's related to the white knight incident, as virgilio's superior gauged it out when he attacked them.

Porque si hubieran sacado el juego en español ya se habrian muerto de hambre, tenían mucha mas oportunidad de venderlo universalmente al sacarlo en inglés y aqui en venezuela la crisis es demasiado cabrona como para no poner el dinero primero. Aún así es algo triste haber sacado una de los mejores videojuegos que he visto jamas y que vivas en un país que no puede apreciarlo por la barrera del idioma. (Y es que a pesar de que los creadores dominen ambos idiomas no es poca cosa traducir esto, tantos chistes y referencias a la cultura geek no se trasponen al español tan facilmente y necesitarian otro grupo de editores españoles que lo revise para su lanzamiento comercial en ese idioma)

This game sucked. The characters are boring and unlikeable, especially Jill the protagonist. She was so sarcastic and had such a dour outlook on life. The writing was mediocre compared to similar games, and it just goes on and on. I got evicted because I didn't have enough money by the end of the month which is completely stupid. I'm just here to see the other endings for a sense of closure. I still feel as though I wasted my time with this crappy visual novel. The only thing cool about it was the cyberpunk setting. This game is awful overall.
