When did you give in your dd214? Bc I had to wait a day after my dos to hand that in and proceed with bdd completion

’m retiring from active duty, I hit the 6-mo mark soon and plan to file a BDD Claim. But I have a couple questions… 1) If I claim something on my BDD that is not in my medical records… will it get automatically denied, or will they schedule an C&P exam to verify? 2) When filing a BDD claim online, does it allow for personal statements on each item? 3) I already have my medical records… and there’s not an obvious list anywhere that says “List of diagnosis”…. I have 800 pages of records, most is just appts… how do I know what counts as a “diagnosis”? 4) since I’m doing a BDD and still on active duty… do I need to relate conditions to my service… is a Nexus still required for son thing like GERD since I’m still on Active Duty?

I submitted my BDD August of 23 and almost 9 months later, I’m still waiting on C&P exams. I found out that the VA didn’t even contact VES to schedule my C&P exams until a week after I retired, over 5 months after I submitted my BDD.

I submitted my BDD in Feb 2023 and they didn’t touch my claim until July. I’m still attending appointments to complete my claim. Is there anything I can do?

I just went to my vso today. I noticed the claim isn’t showing up on my VA.gov profile. Is it too late to pull that claim form? Reason why I ask is because I realize the VSO use simple language vs diagnosis terms in listing my claims. Ty

Know a good place for help increasing my VA disability here in WA. I live just north of Seattle. Everett. I am only 20% since 1996 From BBD. L4-L5 disk was trimmed.

WA State has an excellent state VA office that should be able to help you. Yo can meet a VSO in one of their offices either on base or off base.
