@@CombatCraig Only 1% of Americans join the military. Of that 1%, 60% get deployed and 15% of those experience combat situations. So all in all that is a small group of people. So then my question is, How come the VA can't provide for combat veterans who have PTSD issues? It is criminal.
@sunnindawg

Thanks for this. True! The key is documenting symptoms and med visits 2-4 times a year to maintain chronology. I do telehealth with my private Docs and see the VA as required every 3 or 6 months where I hand them a copy of my private records and give all the bio samples. Guess what VHA takes a copy and cuts visits short and I don't worry about VBA. One thing I've learned is to keep a log in google calendar to document my bad to very bad days. I print it to pdf and email it to my private Doc to record symptom, frequency, and severity. My calendar title is a number 6- 10 (ten is "terrible"). The calendar notes are related symptom descriptions for that day I paste from a notepad. Every day is a grind to manage your disability and treatment plans. Protect yourself from VBA with evidence. For 20 yrs I was not rated because I thought I was a badaxx. Last year I was 10%. This year I'm 90%. Next year I'm 100% + SMCK x3. I'm preparing for my last battle when I'm on my last legs and need SMCR1. Fight on troops!!!

If you add up all my rated ailments, points-wise I'm at 94 which rounds down to 90%. My unemployability was denied because I retired; never mind the fact that I retired because of my disabilities. It's really hard to not get depressed.

I am currently doing 6 month cycles. Between my civilian Doc who’s very familiar with my VA and my VA PCP. So being seen at least 1 time per year, between the 2. Both have my conditions as being monitored,static and treated. Best thing is while I was gathering medical evidence, many other things were discovered. I used the VA testing and slow crawl method to my advantage. I used my civilian doctor to get quicker diagnosis’s and proper documentation. Also the power of SECURE MESSAGING to document symptoms is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! You earned it, you sacrificed yourself, you put it all on the line for this country.
