I made one out of aluminum electric fence wire it’s at 550 feet coax center conductor was soldered direct to it the webbing soldered to a short wire grounded to the tower and silicone to seal it up .Welded T posts about 16 foot high spaced them 100 feet apart using fence insulators and at the far end looped it back . Runs due north I’ve worked all over with that antenna sure my beams are more directional but wire just gets the job done . Being out in the country like yours noise is really not a issue. 73s everyone.
Plastic food containers with a snap sealed lid from the dollar store make excellent enclosures.

Do you/can you trasmit on that long of an antenna? The recieve capability is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

As a beverage antenna, the way it is set up, no you can not TX on it. However, if you used a proper unun transformer and no termination at the end, yes you could TX on it as long as the swr was sufficient.

I’m curious how it does on 40 and 80m

On 80m it is excellent, especially on the more distant stations like 500mi and beyond. Signals are about 1-2 s units down, but zero noise floor even running the pre-amp is no problem. 40m it is down a bit, which I expected using 800' rg6 but still has been helpful. Be putting a second one up and running in the opposite direction next week.
