This discussion very much highlighted the North India and north pakistan....as far as western and south india concern there is zero impact of shaka,huna and kushana invasion....in my state of Maharashtra which was primarily ruled by the strongest ruler "Satvahana dynasty" in same period keep entire south india ( Maharashtra to tamilnadu) safe. satvahana ruled 600 years over Maharashtra and capital city was pratishthana ( today's paithan near Aurangabad)...the prominent figures like " gautami putra satkarni" and "madhuri putra ishwarsena" both successfully repelled all attack on Maharashtra.

Good, but fell to British and poverty non the less, also didn't establish anything more notable than the Gupta Empire, despite having sea access. You can't live any isolated world forever. Greatful that they atleast kept the peninsula safe from pasture dwellers who were happy enough to live in the cities of the north. A little unity would have kept the light of stability, prosperity and the oft accompanying sciences and arts going for longer, perhaps enough to be strong enough to defeat the latter invasions.

Sakas were able to gain control of almost the whole of satvahana territory during the reign of Nahapan, apart from some part of their capital city, they got controlled kalyan and other port (don't remember the name exactly) for brief period of time. Later Gautamiputra Satkarni came into power and led the conquest to regain control of the lost satvahanas territory from sakas. Both Sakas(Western Kshatrap) and Satvahanas were in constant tussle or state of war with each other for almost 150 years with both these empires seeing their decline in pretty much during the same period of time.

@abhistsingh3309 yes...your partly correct...the satvahana came close contact with sakas during rule of king simuka...these battle happened to control gujrat and northern Maharashtra in today's geographical location....thane,nashik were fall to sakas during these battles...but as you said king Gautami putrav satkarni defeated sakas and regain control of nashik and thane....there is a concrete proof available in the city of nashik about this historical battle....nashik which was an important city during satvahana....there are two buddhist caves named "pandavleni" and "chambharleni"...they both are tourist place in 2025....in pandavleni caves there is an inscription stone written to praise the Gautami putra satkarnis win over sakas .

Agnivansh Rajputs as per history were consecrated in order to stop the Huna invasions. It is said that because the ancient kings of the Suryavanshi and Chandravanshi Kshatriyas went extinct, a new kingly class had to be promoted to "preserve Dharma" and protect the people and so the "Agnivansh" were created which makes sense as the ceremony that consecrated the "Agnivansh" was probably a Hiranyagarbha ritual.
