Hi, thanks for the useful info, I am a short service commissioned officer, opted out after 5 years in 97. I left due to biased seniors, no logic and stupid mentality. Lots of favouritism and partiality, low salary(at that time) lack of facilities, involvement of wives and personal life, dirty politics,....a lot of improvement is required if we want a healthy, fighting fit Army! Policy makers, please wake up!

In 1969, service period was 5 years only, that's why I didn't joined Indian Army despite getting selected in September, 1969. I was already in government service at that time. Now aged 80 years, I am happy with my past government service and post retirement getting statutory pension from Central GOVT.
