There is just so much convoluted questline content here that I'm going to update this comment with anything I missed or got wrong in the video, so let me know if you notice anything. 1. Yuria's spells at 8:57 are based on the boss souls you have in your inventory, so she also sells Soulsucker (Maiden in Black's Soul) and Cursed Weapon (Penetrator Soul). Lynk says: 2. The mechanics of the NPCs in Demon's Souls is really special. Not only there's a lot of them but finding some as black phantoms is awesome. I still remember when I "rescued" The Silent Chief only to find dead corpses on the nexus and later: BAM!!!!! the first actual NPC death. Holy crap!!!! I ran to Google only to find warnings everywhere about him!!!! That was awesome.

Note: Most NPC armor sets can be acquired as loot in the world. So try finding them before thinking about killing them for your cosplay.

Funny story about Patches for my playthrough. I play a royal so I had been spending my time through the Tunnel shooting those bearbugs from a distance with magic and I saw him and I saw a bearbug behind him and I shot it to death and it fell onto him and hurt him. Then I forgot to talk to him to see what he had to say because I wasn't ready to fall into a trap or anything until I cleared out the rest of the bearbugs. Then he showed up in the Nexus like "We know each other so here ya go, deals for you". So... my character canonically doesn't know that Patches isn't to be trusted because as a player I avoided talking to him so long that I forgot to haha.

12:52 If you find these clay coins which you get by breaking breakable things like any old RPG, leaving no stone unturned or box in-violated. Collect 26 and drop them for a secret door key in 1-4 past dogs in in the right alley way opposite to the stairs behind a illusory wall hidden by some breakables to get something special, be sure to pick it up unlike some people who leave because they are stuff. lol It will vanish.

Most of the outfits and equipment you can get from killing npc's can also be found elsewhere. Here are some that you didn't mention: - The Brushwood set and shield can be found at the bottom of the tower in the gallows area, past executioner Miralda. Plus the Ring of Great Strength can be found in the Dragons nest area. Meaning you don't need to kill Biorr. - The Dull Gold set can be found in the same swamp area where Selen Vinland appears. There's a lone phosphorescent slug on a small island, which drops the set when killed. Meaning you don't need to kill Selen. - The Ronin's Ring can be found in the room full of slugs, before the Old Hero boss fight. Meaning you don't need to kill Scirvir - The Saint's Set can be found in the first part of the Valley of Defilement. Meaning you don't need to kill Saint Urbain - The Venerable Sage's set can be found in the prison area in the Tower of Latria (at pure white). The Baby's Nail can be found in the same room as the Fool's Idol boss. The Ring of Magical Sharpness can also be found in the prison. Meaning you don't need to kill Sage Freke - The Graverobber's Ring can be found in the Shrine of Storms. Meaning you don't need to kill Graverobber Blige - Most of the Old Raggedy set can be found in the first part of Boletarian Palace. The hat can be found in the prison in Latria. The Ring of Magical Nature can be found in the same tower where you rescue Yuria. Meaning you don't have to kill Yuria - Most of Mephistopheles' equipment can be found in Latria and the Ring of the Accursed where you find Yuria The only NPC's whose equipment you can only get by killing them are Yurt (a bad guy) and Old King Doran

The thing is Bluepoint uses the exact same code as the original games..they did this with SOTC and they've done it with Demons Souls as well.....so even if they remade it the game would still be the exact same it would just look REALLY pretty. Vaati himself said they followed the code of Demons souls almost to a fault as he wished they would have changed some stuff.

To be fair, to even start most of the quests, you need to be at Pure White World, which is basically means you cannot die. I ALMOST got to Selen's quest, but fucked up a lot in 5-1.

On my first playthrough, I managed to do some of these and completely missed some others like Mephistopheles. I also never ran into Yurt again after setting him free, missed nearly all of the named black phantoms, and got a black character tendency by accidentally killing the dirty merchant in world 2 and the lady vendor in world 5. Nearly killed patches as well but he didn't aggro to me or die to the bear bug explosion. I did manage to save Yuria but I had her quest specifically spoiled for me.

You can also kill invaders or hosts in multiplayer to change your character tendency And if you kill a boss as a white phantom it also counts to white world tendency
