I was teaching in high schools there from 1982 to 1987. Beautiful land and beautiful people. Wish you all the best to all Samoans.

Thanks so much for watching the video. I'll bet that from the time you were teaching there to the time I visited and made this video, American Samoa hasn't changed one bit. All the housing and other structures there look like they were built way back in the 60's. Aside from that, I was amazed at how beautiful and fertile the land and beaches were. I hope to return there someday. Anyway, thanks again for watching. Be sure to check back with my KZbin channel periodically as we are suppose to take a vacation to New Zealand this 2020 year. Thanks again and peace be with you.

@rogue6.2l456 жыл бұрын
It was Honolulu International Airport....... The layover was a full day going to Samoa and coming from Samoa. We stayed in a hotel in Honolulu right next to the airport on the way back to San Diego. Good luck to you...... And thank you for watching our video!!!😎

I’m so happy I saw this post while scrolling through KZbin. I am from the village of Fagatogo. Uncle Mac is my dad’s older brother. Aunty Selita who escorted u to the family cemetery is dad’s 1st cousin. It was a bittersweet moment seeing the uncles and the church and just missing home and family altogether. Thank you for that 🤙🏽...so wat should I call u? Cousin? Brother? Uncle???🤔🤔🤔 pls let me know how to address u. 🌴Aloha🌴

Hello Fanny, thank you so much for watching the video. We live in San Diego and had a most wonderful time visiting family in Faga togo. I am Filipino and my wife Leesa's Mothers maiden name is poeau. As for me, you can just call me Rob. When I made this video of our trip, I was trying to utilize a sort of documentary style approach to convey the beauty of the area in and near Fagatogo. Much of the music came from the group Five Star and I hope you liked the musical score that I used for the family cemetary scene. I was trying to give a feeling of an ancient respect with that music. I wanted to put so much more into the video but my current KZbin licensing only allows me a maximum of 15 minutes per video. Our next trip will be to New Zealand in 2020 and I hope you will stay tuned for that as well. Once again thank you so much Fanny for watching the video and may God's blessings be with you always!
