vacation - original character pmv

yes!!! i finished this and i love how it turned out! these are my characters from a comic im currently making (my universe too!!) :) continue reading if you wanna get the rundown of whats going on!
Xiena (the grey and white rabbit) has a loving relationship with her mentor/mother figure, Phlox (the old golden/brown doe*). The two do nearly everything together, and it just so happens that Phlox is the overseer* of the Western Warren*. Being the overseer, Phlox is determined to have Xiena follow in her footsteps. Both of them are excited! They train and spend lots of time together. Xiena is a prodigy, and quickly climbs through the ranks and becomes messenger.
On one of her expeditions while delivering a message, she runs into the Eastern Warren's messenger, Wevan (the brown/grey doe). It's a love-at-first-sight kind of situation. The two get along amazingly, and agree to keep seeing each other.
The issue is relationships like theirs are not allowed. Out of worry for affecting the legitimacy of the messenger's messages, any romantic relationship is forbidden.
After seasons of Wevan and Xiena meeting up, Phlox begins to be suspicious of what Xiena is really doing. She catches the two cuddling and is outraged that the rabbit she trusted so much turned disloyal to her and her warren. Phlox runs off with Xiena in pursuit, and they eventually come to a stop. Xiena cries and begs Phlox not to tell or demote her from her role. She agrees not to, but forbids her from seeing Wevan again.
Xiena agrees sadly, and reminisces of her happy days with Wevan.
One day, while Xiena is sulking, Phlox gets sick with a disease that ends up taking her life. Their relationship ends on a sweeter note, with Phlox proud of her 'daughter' and Xiena apologetic for everything she did wrong.
After the death, Xiena becomes overseer, where a buck* named Bodyn (the black and white rabbit) takes notice of her. She ends up settling with him as her mate, but she never ceases to forget how she won't ever be as happy as she was with Wevan.
that's all! i know it doesn't exactly end on a happy note, but by the time my comic rolls around, Xiena is much happier and has accepted everything that has happened to her :) (cough cough if you want to read it check out my instagram [thymefli])
*A little key of terms:
Overseer - Leader figure for one of the two warrens, the highest position possible
Warren - A general term for a group of rabbits. There are two warrens in this universe, the Western Warren and the Eastern Warren
Messenger - There is one messenger per warren, and they deliver messages to the other warren. They are blind to the territory lines, and are heavily respected. They are the successor of the overseer
Mate - Pretty obvious I hope
Defender - A group of rabbits that defend their warren (about five per warren)
Gatherers [not mentioned] - The lowest rank, they have general gathering and medical skills, every kit begins in this rank, and has the opportunity to reach other ranks.
Tale-tellers [not mentioned] - Elders/permanently injured
Doe - A female rabbit
Buck - A male rabbit

I love this pmv. The color palette really suits the mood of song-it's soft, and calming. Good job, and keep up the hard work!

What a lovely pmv. I love how you draw the rabbits with their sharp pointed faces, their paws, tails, and especially the ears. Also love the way the portraits and images slide onto the screen like a projector for a family slideshow. Superb job.

Woah!! I loved this! The color choices really gave you a sense of time passing, and the minimalist backgrounds heightened that, as well as making the characters pop. I loved the shapes of the characters as well, you really conveyed rabbit to me, while also making them unique with their patterns and colors. Thank you for creating this, it was really calming to watch!
