I’m not sure about the delete of the vacuum pump, but I have the walkthrough for the dod if you haven’t seen it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYjEqqyQfLOMiKssi=jpM-AUErXyCMuMX9

Was your truck making a ticking noise before you changed the vacuum pump?…and if so did this stop it?
@dannyjohnsonsgarage10 ай бұрын
Mine was making a sound, but it ended up being the lifter. I replaced the vacuum pump while I had it apart for the lifter kzbin.info/www/bejne/mamXkGB8fL12jKcsi=WK2P2lhJu_XgRmhR

What were some symptoms of one failing ?
@dannyjohnsonsgarage2 ай бұрын
You may get a code for it, or feel a sloppy brake pedal. I changed mine preventatively during a lifter repair because these pumps can fail and put metal shavings in the system kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYjEqqyQfLOMiKssi=ZYzoM1xcD6CmwQ2W

isnt this covered by GMs special 10yr / 150k mile warranty?
@dannyjohnsonsgarage Жыл бұрын
When I checked, my 2015 being the first year of the new bodystyle with many issues was given a 100k miles/5 year warranty which had run out. This part was also upgraded during my cam and lifters replacement just by my preference, it wasn’t bad. Even when I had a transmission sensor issue it wouldn’t not be covered, so it’s worthless to pay the diagnostic fee to be told it’s not covered when the diagnostic fee could cover the price of the part kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYjEqqyQfLOMiKssi=vVyfx2D6QAEsvF7W

It is. I took my 2016 Silverado in yesterday for this issue. They were going to replace this for free for me. However the service advisor said he could not do the repair for free since the truck had a rebuilt title. He said he could do the fix but he would have to charge me $1000 . I told him no thank you. That's why I'm here watching this video

Is the vacuum pump AC delco?
@dannyjohnsonsgarage11 ай бұрын
@@Clowe82 It says GM genuine parts but I don’t see the AC Delco. The part number is 12696313 saying made in China, but that is covering a sticker with part number 22809932 saying made in USA. www.amazon.com/dp/B08R6GJWMF?psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=2004047-20&linkId=eee855e3232c10392c8db3f3f1a4abc9&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl#immersive-view_1702781305021

Good to know. I made the video that way, but didn’t want to leave someone up the creek without a paddle. It was part of the cam swap if you ever need that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYjEqqyQfLOMiKssi=f9i78yMxtFG5vnxm

Yeah, I did notice that at the time. I figured they changed the supplier or it’s a knock off lol

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage Yeah that’s bizarre. The one I ordered should be authentic GM, made in Mexico but i’ll open it up and see
