Thanks bro. The trick is to force the lid to open to maximum. It has a safety at some point and you can't break it.

mine doesn't have the little slot bit inside so my bag gets blown back and all the dust inside my hoover, not the bag :( i use masking tape to help but is it meant to be like that?

Hi Paula, I'm guessing here as I can't see your machine, but it could be a block in the hose or that you need to change the filters? I hope that this helps you get back to your vacuuming :-)
