I feel like that's been the case lately with these reviews, it's a shame cause it seems like all the b roll shows all these machines being tested so I'm sure it's at least mostly done but the actual video isnt presenting enough information to make an informed decision sometimes It's almost like an AI video to speed up production of videos rather than quality content

It depends. I definitely think it's useful. But even with edge cleaning. There are some corners and crooks none of these machines will reach. You will still have to go in by hand. It's also only one sides which reduce how practical it truly is. There is one machine with double edge cleaning. But I do wonder how long that would last. I do have it and I like it alot for the kitchen, in front of the cabinets especially. But I feel like there still needs to be hand cleaning every few months. They help us alot but tech isn't that advanced yet.

I got S5 Pro and love it after using Dreame H11 Max and Osotek H100 Pro. It is more quiet, get more water to clean but the floor is less wet after cleaning, results are better and the mop is very clear after selfcleaning. In Dreame after self cleaning I got dirty traces on the next mopping. Waiting for more comparisions with brands like Dreame or Hizero. Self cleaning could be a category in ranking. I think it is important for more people than me. Best Mateusz

I have the Tineco S5 cordless and it's pretty good, though it does not do the vacuuming part of the job as well is it should. I've also used a Hizero and while it has always been problem-prone, it does pick up the dry debris well. Perhaps the Roborock Dyad with its counter-rotating brushes would do better. It's nice having one side of the Tineco S5 roller go all the way to the edge, but there are many cases where I wish both sides went to the edge as it's not always possible to turn the vacuum around to get to the "good side". Overall, though, the S5 does a good job and is easy to use.

Note for anyone reading: the Shark Hydrovacs have a sensor that detects whether the clean tank is empty and it will go faulty on you eventually. Fortunately if you keep your receipt Shark should replace it, but I ended up hacking into mine to bypass the sensor. I've had mine for about a year.
@Deviloc1

I just wanted to second this fact. My Shark Hydrovac no longer works after only a year due to failed clean water tank sensor. This is why I'm here, to figure out what to replace this POS with. (to be fair, it was a good vac until the sensor stopped working)
@warc8us
@warc8us 9 күн бұрын
@@Deviloc1 I bought the Tineco Floor ONE S5 Steam (the corded one) a month ago. The water tank lasts a lot longer so I don't have to stop as much when I'm cleaning. One thing to note is the S5 Steam you are supposed to use only water, no cleaners, so I bought one of those small garden sprayers you pump to pressurize and then spray. I put my floor cleaner and water in that, spray my floor down, then I use the S5 Steam to pick it up. The S5 Steam is quite a bit more expensive than the Hydrovac but so far it is the better machine IMO. It cleans better overall. You could eat off my floors haha

Be advised, we had the Tineco S3 for 2 years and it's run into all sorts of issues. Battery stopped working, had to send it in for repairs. Then the suction stopped, had to send it in for hose replacement. Now the suction stopped again, and Tineco support basically threw their hands up stating they "no longer have parts" to support me and it's just outside the 2 year warranty so they refuse to support it. Warranty and expected quality/longevity of the product would be an interesting addition to this.

I have a Tineco S3 that has all the same issues. Spilling water all over the floor, sent back twice, now the batter doesn't hold the charge. I do like the product when it works but the unit is only 3 years old and at a $400 price tag I expect it to last longer then 3 years. Especially since it is $100 each time I had to send it back

What would you suggest as an ultimate handle anything vacuum? I like carpet cleaners for their ability to scrub hardfloors and carpets and have a handheld pipe for cars and upholstery etc, but their downfall is dry vacuuming. I'm looking for a wet dry like the karcher or george but I much prefer upright and want the spin scrub that carpet cleaners have.

I’m a bit disappointed that Hizero was excluded from this competition. I know it’s somewhat in a class of its own since it doesn’t utilize any suction technology and relies on sweep/mop tech, but the Hizero F500 is the newest model and IMHO is a game changer for hard floor cleaning. It’d be interesting to see it in a future video. Thanks!

Hizero is chinese low quality
@ginobough
@ginobough 6 ай бұрын
@@TouringTalesAustraliaAccording to whom? The original model Hizero has been previously featured on Vacuum Wars (twice) with high praise. That original review actually convinced me to purchase one, and I’ve upgraded twice since then and gave the older models to family members (both are still running strong with very pleased owners). Associating “low quality” with China is an ignorant bias considering almost all “high quality” electronics, particularly home appliances, are manufactured there.
@jasexavier
@jasexavier 6 ай бұрын
@@TouringTalesAustraliaI'm pretty sure Tineco, Bissell, Hoover, and all of these other hard floor cleaners are made in China as well. I have a Hizero. It seems pretty solid and it's repairable; I can get rollers, pumps, motors, batteries, etc., to make quick and easy repairs if needed, although I have yet to have a need to do so.
@superspeeder
@superspeeder 6 ай бұрын
I’m very disappointed the Hizero was not included. I, like the other commenters above, bought the original Hizero and have been mostly happy with its performance. It’s extremely expensive, but it cleans our dark brown (nearly black) floors very well using only water, no cleaning solution. If the argument for not including it in this test is that it’s in a category of its own, how will we ever see how it stacks up to more conventional options?
@superspeeder
@superspeeder 6 ай бұрын
@@TouringTalesAustraliacare to elaborate on your opinion? I find the Hizero to be of very high quality build, with well molded and durable plastics, tight fit and finish, and a wide assortment of easily available replacement parts if I should ever need them. I disassembled the unit once when it stopped sucking the dirty water from the roller, I was looking to see if a line might be clogged. It comes apart and goes together very well. The issue turned out to be a slug of debris in the inlet of the dirty water tank that I missed. I cleared the blockage and it’s been fine since. It’s a premium priced option for sure, but so far I find it is also a premium product. It’s not perfect, but it’s darn good and still cleaning well after 6 years of use. No regrets.

Thank you for the test. While I appreciate the steam function and also the longevity gain of not having a battery, corded tools for moving jobs are such an hassle, I'd rather go battery all the time. I have a battery lawn mover, and I'm really happy I didn't buy a cord one, so if I'm buying one of these in the near future, is going to be the S5 Pro 2 i think; in any case my use is washing floors which are "clean"' in which they're normally dirty but don't have particular stains or spills, that I clean by hand. I think the only alternative would be a robot with mopping functionaly, my mother has one (Deebot T20) and onestly it's pretty good.
@hayhay349
@hayhay349 4 ай бұрын
Can you please do these tests with tile. I have had my tineco S5 blue version but I notice it does not do well with picking spills up that drip into grout lines. I think the better cleaner would be able to handle different levels on the floor. My tineco brush roller is just not fluffy enough to reach in grout lines and soak up liquid. Now I will say it does well on sucking up Chihuahua hair. Occasionally it will spit it out but for the most part it does better than my bissell pet carpet cleaner. Lol

I've been using the mop roller for over a year. Most of these machines will work as expected for the first 3 months or more. But the real test is how would they perform after a year. Will their suction still perform enough. My experience after one year my machine start to leave extra water behind thus create streaks when dry. The more dirty water the better it is. It would harder to do comparison of a year old devices but that would be really helpful. For device that cost more than $500 it should last at least 2 years. But 3 years would be ideal.

Sorry, probably should have watched the video all the way through before saying this was helpful. It really wasn't I'm sorry to say. I think in general because your values in a hard floor cleaner don't look like mine at all, and you (supposedly) tested 20 but can't provide even just a info chart on the whole bunch. I guess I do know now I'm not buying a Tineco. I don't need something cordless nor with a lot of gimmicky displays and junk to break down later. If I were sure a more expensive one was going to last 5-10 years I wouldn't mind dropping more money on it, but let's face the truth that NOTHING now days is built to last more then 3 tops. So saying price isn't a factor is just not acceptable in my book.

Great video, As an owner of many machines a father to 2 small girls I keep finding my self unable to decide which device to pick many times, I think that can be great video. Lot's of the mess I need to clean are moist sticky stuff like rice, couscous, Quinoa and etc. Taking the tineco after each meal is a pain since they get stinky of you don't get rid of the waste after each use. Using dyson or classic vac I'm scared to damage it and when I use it the soft roller can throw parts further away or stick in many places in the vac (the roller, the hose, the roller housing, the bin). I always wonder if a portable shop-vac (like the small dewalts and etc) will do the trick but reviews are discouraging. I would love to hear your take on everyday issues such as these

Here are some tips to help. If you dry vacuum first you will have less dirt turn into mud so you'll get less dirty streaks. Using too much cleaning solution will leave residue on your floors. You can reduce the amount of cleaner you use or go over your floors with just water to rinse the floors. I would avoid the steam machines on wood as heat can cause the finish to dull. Choose a vac-mop with a manual solution trigger instead of automatic dispensing so you can control and reduce the amount of water put down. Avoid Swiffer Wet Pads as they have too much cleaner on them. The corded Bissell Crosswave is very loud. So far I like the Corded Hoover Streamline and the Corded Bissell SpinWave. Hope that helps.

I really like the Hizero. It came out on top for cleaning performance in the first round of there he did, but he has left them out of subsequent testing. For greasy spots on wood I use a couple of drops of Sal's Suds, rather than the included cleaner, either in the machine or mixed in water in a spray bottle to pretreat bad spots. They way that machine scrubs seems to work better for grease than the softer, higher speed brushes in other machines. It's expensive though. I got mine on sale for 35% off, otherwise I'd look for a refurbished model.

I would imagine anything that can remove grease has the potential to impact finish. I'd think the steam vac/mops would work for grease but wonder how well the roller would 'self clean'. I suspect 'hands and knees' is still the way to go to lift a greasy mess.

Just wondering is the Tineco S6 pro not included or it fared badly to not get a mention?

Question about the drying mode, did you make SURE that it's a real thing ? I know roborock lied about their, there was absolutely no heating element in the base So did you tested it yourself in real world conditions to see if the roller dried faster ? or did you just took the word of the brand ? Also I really think you should add the MSRP prices in the US. Prices are generally the same in most country and it would give us a reference on what to expect without needing to check the individual price of every cleaner in the video

I have to believe now that these tests are sponsored. The fact that you didn't include the Eufy Mach V1 ultra kinda says it all. It's the only one that has steam and IS cordless. It also has a built in air blower to dry faster. I had the S5 steam, it was so bad I returned it. You can't adjust the power level on it, so you're always stuck in auto mode. 😮

As disappointing as it is, i too suspect the same. The ability to have steam on tap when cordless is a game changer, very disappointed that it's not included, and it's been around for about a year now so no excuses.

lol if you have Tineco as your number 1 and then affiliate links in the drop down and all of them leading to Amazon, it’s a dead giveaway. Next time, try and make it less obvious. SMH

Does the Mach V1 have edge to edge cleaning? or a suction only mode? Do you know of a corded steam/vacuum that has edge to edge with either air drying floor as using or suction only mode?

Some of the vacuum (like tineco) claiming they have electrolyzed water features. Wonder if it did improving the cleaning. Besides, normally electrolyzed water need to be salt water as media, but they claim tap water can also do the job

I have had the Shark cordless mop vac, the Bissell (corded), the Bissell steam version (corded). I've commented on your videos before on the Bissell mop vacs. I bought the Bissell Crosswave steam version (after the unfortunate passing of my cordless Shark) hoping that Bissell worked on the noise level a bit. It was still in my opinion obnoxiously loud. I returned it and bought the Tineco Floor One S3. It is truly awesome. And if it lasts 2 years per the warranty period; I will buy another Tineco without hesitation.

@@MsSweetBoredom To be completely honest the "Steam" is a bit of a gimmick. It blows the steam on the side of the roller which really does nothing. Keep in mind microfiber material is already antibacterial. (Not to say don't clean it and dry it) but especially for floors it makes no difference. Tineco does it better from what I see in the steam mop options. However if you are looking for the best bang for your buck with a corded model. Get the Shark corded model. It's quiet, reliable and good all around. Also they go for $160 on eBay certified refurbished with a warranty.
