I’m starting to know a pattern on KZbin when it comes to shark vacuums. Most of the reviews of from people who have been given the vacuum or paid to do a review, very rarely do I see people who bought it from their person money and reviewed it. That being said, I researched hours and hours comparing this vacuum to Samsung, Dyson and Lg. I didn’t go with Dyson due to the expensive price . Though I did have a chance to get a refurbished v11 animal for $350. But I didn’t go with Dyson because of the brush heads needing to be changed and there is no anti hair brush that comes with the vacuum, that needs to be bought separately. I chose this one because of the dual brush, anti hair brush and wheels on the bottom that make is easier push forward. My only con that made me hesitate to purchase this was the fact it doesn’t come with a second battery or a charging doc. I know the UK version has two batteries and a charging doc. I read most of the amazon reviews for those and most of them stated they didn’t really need the second battery but it was good to have. I’m giving shark the benefit of the doubt as this is fairly a new product and May…be they don’t have accessories ready to sell. I hope in the future they will sell the batteries and dock because I’m sure the battery for this vacuum will be less and will need a replacement. Also I vacuumed my whole apartment and still had 60% battery left over. Shark does terrible for their customer services and website is terrible. All I care is if the vacuum cleans and at the end of the day, it does.

We bought one. Great vacuum. The 2 features I like the best is the dual brushes and the clean sense IQ technology. We completed a major reno recently and went with smooth (versus textured) Walnut (dark brown) HW floors. I notice the front polish brush does a great job with dust on the floor. We had a cheaper corded single brush stick that did not get the dust. With the LED lights you can see the dust and once you go over the dust it is gone. With our cheaper corded stick the dust was still there. The second best feature is the clean sense IQ technology. It is a huge battery saver especially on HW floors. It senses when there is little dirt and adjust suction power accordingly. So on HW floors the suction is reduced which lengthens battery life. Battery life on HW is at least 30 mins but half of that on carpets. The dirt canister is easy to clean. All in all a 10/10 IMO

Thank you so much for your in depth reviews. especially appreciate the amount of detail you provide so quickly. I've been a fan of Shark vacuums for a long time, but have always though they were too heavy overall. I've only every had corded models. Agree 100% with the value of the Shark's duo head. Now I'm trying to decide between Samsung cordless (which I never thought about until seeing your Samsung Bespoke review) and Shark handhelds. Seems like the Samsung 90 or maybe the bespoke is winning at this point based on how I will use a handheld vac.

impressive but judging reviews from amazon, half say this needs more battery life. I think the reason for that is the head that uses a lot more power than most stick vacs. As also pointed in the video, this could have come with a brushed roller for cleaning upholstery mattresses, dust mites. Additionally, its filtering system, like all previous Sharks, is basic with stainless strainer then one huge sponge like filter.

Just purchased from Best Buy Today. 2500 sqft house. 60/40 tile/carpet. First full charge made it just over halfway. Have to wait 3 hours to finish the house. The medium carpets really ate the battery. It’s pretty loud compared to our old shark vertex lift. The dirt sense is annoying and seemed to get stuck on full blast at one point. Dirt sense has the vacuum oscillate speeds constantly. Carpet is annoying, on the back stroke it lifts the head a bit in a clunky way. Dust bin does the standard shark smooth flip open thing, also flings dust. Regret not having a dock/stand, extra battery, upholstery tool. Giving it one more try, then returning. We don’t like Dyson at all. Might look at LG or Samsung Bespoke.

It appears Dyson is on top of customer support, that is, following up with customers who have issues with their products. What about Shark or the other manufacturers? You should include a "test problem" and see how each is handled by the manufacturers. There have been too many times in the past, when we thought there would be adequate customer support for issues and found out the hard way, that we were wrong.
@TheVintageApplianceEmporium2 жыл бұрын
I love Duo-Clean but have found in the past that the cyclone system on the Shark cordless machines leaves a LOT to be desired. Dyson absolutely crushes Shark when it comes to filtering dust using the cyclones - the Shark machines I've seen just let it through and expect the filter to do the heavy lifting. So the filter gets clogged quickly and you lose all that power. Does this machine perform better in that regard or is it still just the same poor-performing single cyclone of old?
@resigningstars2 жыл бұрын
They use the same technology for every vacuum, they’ve barely done anything to change it. That’s how they keep the price more cheap than Dyson. Dyson does better.
@UdreamWeprint2 жыл бұрын
Well most vacuums that do depend on the filters have this problem though... Where you have to clean/change the filter quite regulary to not loose suction power because of the clogged up filter.
@schlowe20032 жыл бұрын
I'll say that I have 5 dogs and do not have this issue. Most of what I vacuum IS dust, with hair. While the filter does eventually clog, I don't notice any difference in cleaning performance immediately before washing the filters, usually every 2-3 months. I vacuum at least twice a week, sometimes every other day. Maybe the hair helps catch the dust, idk.
@robwalton20072 жыл бұрын
You do have a valid point. BUT, the disadvantage the Dyson sticks have IS the cyclone - over time you have to take apart and clean that cyclone assembly because all that dust will get stuck in there and eventually cause nasty odours. Actually had to do that for a friend who has a Dyson V6. And it's not as easy to do as the Dyson uprights and canisters since the cyclone is attached to the motor. At least you don't have that issue with the Shark, and you can maintain the power by just washing the filters frequently. You can't have it both ways unfortunately :(

You do great reviews. However, I believe you have listed the bin sizes wrong. My Vertex has a .34 LITRE (not quart) bin which is about .72 quarts. I believe both have about the same size containers. Anyone have both handy to compare?

Many Shark products like this have a massive durability issue with the main hose at the goose neck where all the swivel action takes place. Have they addressed this issue with this product?

Is the Dyson V15 Detect worth the extra $250 compared to the Shark Cordless Stratos?
@tomobrien18532 жыл бұрын
The v15 is leaps ahead of shark. Buckets more power, runtime, deep cleaning and filtration. Which is why I don’t think it’s shown or compared in this video, but a lower end v12 is used.
@Frenchfrys172 жыл бұрын
@@tomobrien1853 Your statement is mostly false based on the results in this video. The Stratos has the same level of real world performance as the V15, despite have its weight and size resembling the V12 slim more.

@@Frenchfrys17 wrong, the dyson deep cleans better due to the sharks duoclean not creating as good of a seal, plus the shark has 30 percent more water lift power(suction power)

@@Frenchfrys17 i have both and can run the shark on any carpet without it getting pulled to the floor, the dyson needs the gates open to not get stuck, there both great imo and its annoying having to change the head on the dyson for floors, so they each have there own plus's

Love your reviews and come back to them whenever I need a new vacuum, but I do have one gripe which would be the battery testing segment. Across your videos, you consistently say they advertise X time in X condition, and you ONLY show you results testing in a different setup. I think the majority of your viewer base would appreciate a more detailed breakdown. I'd suggest something along the lines of testing the company's advertised rating in that specific setup to see if it holds true, as well as low power (or whatever you feel would be the most frequent usage power based on you experience during testing) with the head on. The companies typically advertise a low power extreme, and you only seem to do max power with head on which demonstrates the other extreme, but I feel like showing more of the middle instead of leaving it as a massive range, as well as testing the advertised claims would be beneficial.

Ignoring price, how does this compare to the Dyson v12?

I have a dyson V11 - the airway always gets blocked and its a pain to keep manually removing the blockage. Will this be vacuum better?
@suzanteman63762 жыл бұрын
Be careful because unless they redesigned the flexology wand it breaks. I had the hz500 and it didn’t last a year. Many have experienced the same thing and Shark doesn’t do anything about it.

Sorry to hear Shark does not respond to customer issues. This alone would discourage me from buying anything they sell.

It appears the uk version doesn't me work the anti allergen brush. Grrr was interested in this as I'm really allergic to dust mite poop.

I bought a Vertex based in this channels reccomendation and was disappointed. It fully clogs every other week thus requiring regular dismantling. You sould find a way to test clogging bacause I doubt this product performs any better.
