Ingredients
Urad Dal-2cups
Salt-
Green chilli-5-7
Curry leaves -2strings
Ginger-1medium piece
Asafoetida powder-1/4tsp
Water-10 1/2tbsp
Oil
Soak urad dal for 3 hours.. wash well and drain..
Grind to a coarse paste by adding less amount of water in many batches ..If u want u can ginger,green chilli and curry leaves along with the dal ..
Beat this paste well for 5 minutes ..
Then to the ground paste add crushed ginger, green chilli ,curry leaves,asafoetida powder and salt .. (If u want u can crushed pepper ,cumin seeds and onions ) Then mix well..
Heat oil and when medium hot slide the vada into the oil and fry in medium flame till golden shade ..
So enjoy yummy medu vada ...
