I’m reading about the life of paul of thebes by jerome and i was trying to get a visual of his tunic woven from palm leaves like a wicker basket. Very impressive talent you have

would been more sustainable to use precut disgarded leaves?

Usually banana plants are cut off after harvesting, leaving the root and a short body on the ground. For sustainability, the cut-off leaves can be used for clothes then. The plant will regrow from the body remaining on the ground.
