This is amazing! I watch Vaganova classes all the time but having your commentary made it a million times more helpful and meaningful! I sometimes feel the level of technique and accomplishment of Vaganova students is so high that the steps feel remote for a student like me; the personal narration made it feel real and special. It’s good to hear that combo took a month to learn! I would love to see more like this ☺️☺️☺️ just subscribed! Xoxo

I never had interest in ballet untill recently when youtube suggested a video (well done, youtube algorithm!!). Ballet is a very, very demanding sport!!

I got burnt out and decided to not go professional, but I still love ballet! I'd love to finally learn how to use my inner thighs to close fifth properly as it was always a struggle. It'd be amazing to see a video about what that process was like for you! Love this video and all the walkthroughs!💙

Same here, I'd be very interested in a video on how to use inner thighs to close fifth without bending the knee !

Head positions are the biggest thing I struggle with for my students! They really struggle to understand to use their whole head to look at their hands, not just their eyes and eyebrows. Love watching these videos, very motivating to see how it should be done.

I absolutely LOVE the grand soutenu! I remember Nina Sorokina having us “stay” in that position, but I loved every minute of it and sharing that step and the love of it with my students is just such a blessing. It’s not often done here in the states (like Character Dance lol my all time favorite). Blessings

These are so interesting and beautiful to watch. I’d love to know where some of your classmates ended up. I must have missed what you did after graduation. I think you went with a company and now you freelance, but could you tell us more about your experience after graduation?

I'd love to get tutorials about how to do any turning step and being able to balance on relevé while holding the leg higher than 90°. Some tips about what to think of in those fouettés might be helpful! And I don't get how these quick grand jeté rond de jambes (?) in the grand battement exercise work? 🙈 They look different from what I learned as grand jeté rond de jambe..
@joyanngoddard20333 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Really love your dancing. Would love to see the tutorials. On Rond de jamb Jete, adage, arabesque and in the centre, pirouettes.

@@balletwithisabella thank you, I'm very curious having been taught by a graduate of the school from the 80's (class of Zimin), the barres today seem very different.

Thank you, so cool you do this! How to keep that pull up and the fifth and inner thigh more…also how to hold the stomach so compact Ian keep breathing? Can you go into more details about the chest, head coordination.. why and how the placement is and how the breath goes along with it? Thank you!!! That would be very helpful ❤❤❤❤

What does it mean ‘not too much stretching because wanted to feel my muscles’ ?
@cassandradoyle36097 ай бұрын
When you do static streching before exercise it makes it difficult for the muscles to fire properly.
@seaofglass77 Жыл бұрын
Just wondering why you weren't allowed to drink? Because it was a distraction? Or preparing you to be on stage and you don't always get an opportunity to drink every 30 minutes? Just wondering. I've worked at studios where they insist the students all bring a water bottle in, and others where they say no water bottles in the building.

@silena1973 жыл бұрын
iirc they changed the program to 9 years in 2007/2008, and changed it back to 8 years only quite recently in 2015 I think?
