You do not have to specify person ID in Winsteps. Create an excel sheet / spss / text (any) spreadsheet and open it in Wisnteps as shown in the video.

Hi Dr. Vahid, thanks a lot for the explaination. Excuse me, I have a question. I've inputted a set of data that consist of negative number (not only positive and zero). But, the result of the Construct Winstep File displays dot (.) for representing negative number. So actually, can we input a set of data that consist of negative number to winstep? Thank you :)

In Rasch measurement, item fit is examined by way of outfit and infit statistics. The infit statistic accounts for the amount of information an item gleans about the ability of people and is more sensitive to outliers. Both unfit and outfit statistics are handled by my teams web app. You might consider taking a look at our web app, here: autopsych.shinyapps.io/version_1_0_0/ with exposition of all functions of the app here: journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0257682

Dear Professor, First I want to thank you for the video, it greatly helped me conduct my dissertation research project using Winsteps program. I have one question regarding the violation of unidimensionality and local item dependence. Base on the article you mentioned (Aryadoust & Sayama, 2021), it seems that my model did not meet the criteria for unidimensionality (=the unexplained variance in 1st constrast was over 8 in eigenvalue in table 23.0) and local dependence (=about 20 pairs of items showed Q3 coefficient over .7 in table 23.99). I wonder in this case you might recommend any journal or a video that guides the remedial procedure. Or is it okay to proceed with the rest of the analysis and just report this fact as a limitation? Thank you.
@VahidAryadoust2 жыл бұрын
You might want to use a testlet IRT or testlet Rasch model to control for local independence. Take a look at the following: journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0265532215594640

Hi, I have a test that has 2 sections: listening and reading. I want to make different sections on the wright map for these 2 sections. Can you point me to how to do that? Thank you!

It seems there are two dimensions there; you will need to apply a multidimensional model. Use ConQuest (the software). I am in the process of creating video for that.

@VahidAryadoust4 жыл бұрын
@@fujielearning In Subtest scoring in Winsteps, the number of columns in the conventional Wright Map will remain the same. Subtest scoring, however, will allow you to estimate separate reading and listening measures within the same unidimensional frame of reference.

Dear Dr. Vahid, could you please show or tell how to enter data for multiple-choice questions? Will we put 1 for correct and 0 for incorrect? Also, how do we do item analysis in Rasch for MCQs? To see which option works better etc. Thanks so much 🙏🌸
@VahidAryadoust2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can enter them as 0 and 1. If you want to examine the functionality of the options, enter them as A,B,C,D. But also include a 'key' in the input generated. You have to include the Key in the file manually. Here is how you can do it: www.winsteps.com/winman/key.htm

@@VahidAryadoust Dear Dr. Vahid. Thanks a lot for your kind reply. So, it means that I will need to run 2 separate analysis: one for general purposes by including scores as 0/1; and the other for the functionality of options as ABCD. These will be separate.

@@MoonLight-nc4fi You don't have to run two analyses. Just do an analysis with ABCD. It will suffice.
