Nice to see my old mod still gets some attention. Back in the day, it was considered one of the best of the worst sormaker mods. Looking back, I can’t argue with that sentiment. I could have done better had I went back and balanced the mod and not ran out of ideas. As for what inspired a mod starring villain characters was actually SORR’s cancelled villain mode. This mod was among the first handful of SORMaker mods released. I had a better understanding of how sormaker worked than my competitors so it’s easy to see why it was considered “the best of the worst”. Most of the other mods released at the time were awful and even worse made than mine. That being said it wasn’t perfect. The reasoning for the odd enemy placements actually had a lot to do with balancing the game around the playable villain characters as they were meant to be the focus of the story. Though after hearing feedback, I started making adjustments (though I got lazy and never actually completed the balancing) to the difficulty. One route ends abruptly because I simply ran out of ideas to progress the story.

I am the creator of this mod. And yeah. It was my first sormaker mod. The enemy placement was indeed odd. Someone recently actually redid this mod (well sorta. It’s more like a reimagining using many of the stages and music as a base and redoing the story.
