Vail Christmas 2021 Ski Colorado 12/25/2021

Fresh pow for Christmas! You have to show up early if you want fresh tracks. I guess a lot of people heard about yesterday's storm. Santa dropped nine inches overnight on top of six inches the previous day. The sun was playing peek-a-boo with errant clouds passing overhead against a deep blue sky. It was a blustery day, but there was ample protection below treeline. Starting at Golden Peak on the Riva Bahn Express, then left to right, east to west, across the front side of the mountain, from the top of Highline Express all the way over to the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, and everywhere in between, with rides on Sourdough Express, Northwoods Express, Wildwood Express, and Avanti Express, finally finishing up at Lionshead. There was even a side trip on the Game Creek Express. Plenty of skiing and riding fun on Christmas Day. Even got to follow Santa a little bit. So many runs, so little time.

Hi there, I think you're on a Rossignol Gamer 176 cm. If I'm about 5'10 165 lbs should I get the 176 cm or the 186 cm? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

It depends on skill level and strength. I'm similar height and weight. I found the 186cm to be too long, especially in the bumps. If you're used to longer skis, go for it. The 176 is quick in the bumps, stable enough on the groomers, and floaty in the pow. Hope this helps. BTW, I demoed both lengths before choosing the 176.

same. The only thing I dont like, from what I see about colorado and all these mega resorts, is the amount of people. Looks very crowded
