Finally a Gas Engineer who is making a difference. I am learning so much from your videos. You make it look so easy to do, and easy to understand. Please could you do more videos on servicing and repairs on all brands of boilers.

Hey Roman! Thanks for the comment, yeah I got new videos on different boilers soon, keep an eye out for them 🔧

@@advancedboilertraining Keeps doing, what your doing and you will make it big here on the Gas platform. I am newly passed Gas engineer, and i have been looking left and right to learn repairs on, and your videos are a blessing. Any advise on what steps I should take to learn repairs?

Roman Ahmed Apart from learning from a mentor (the fastest way to succeed in anything in life), the best thing is to just jump in the deep end and do them. Try join a company as most companies will give you training for their jobs.

Generally what do you do when you attempt to isolate via the service valves and they start leaking, is the a way to repair them of do they need to be replaced as well?

My radiators don't heat up properly until I run the hot water tap till the water runs hot. Could the diverter valve be the problem?
@TsubasaAbs Жыл бұрын
Hi, I have the same boiler. I had a leaking valve, so I replaced the cartridge inside the valve 3 days ago. Today, the hot water works fine, but central heating/radiators do not heat up. What could be the issue? Is it the cartridge issue or do I need to replace the full diverter valve assembly as you have done here.

Yep exactly the same boiler sounds like it is the diverter valve
@David-vw9jn3 жыл бұрын
Good videos for apprentices and new engineers or if u haven’t changed 1 yet. You don’t need to isolate the cold main on a diverter change. Gas seal for the washers and a bit on screwdriver to hold the screws works a treat

Could you tell me what is that brass screw on the side of the valve and what position should it be on. Thanks
@advancedboilertraining3 жыл бұрын
I think what you are talking about is the by-pass valve. The position is usually factory preset to approximately 250mbar (mid-position that is shown on my video).

Hi, what about if it makes humming noise when turning on? Can I replace just the cartridge inside ?
@advancedboilertraining Жыл бұрын
What do you mean by humming noise? When you turn this boiler on by the mains power, the diverter moves and makes a humming noise for a few seconds and then stops. Is that what you mean?
@marcinglodzinskl1972 Жыл бұрын
@@advancedboilertraining no, when the heating is turning on it starts making funny noise but not every time. When I took the cover off, and placed small piece of wood against the diverter I could feel thr vibration so I am assuming the sound is coming off it
@advancedboilertraining Жыл бұрын
@@marcinglodzinskl1972 strange, the cartridge is really easy to change so it’s worth a try if you think that’s where it’s coming from
