Good call on resting up and on getting the CT scan, head injuries are not any joke. I hit my head badly and looking back should have taken it easier the 48 hours or so afterwards, I got post concussion syndrome quite bad and it was not a fun time. started having panic attacks and had minor visual hallucinations seeing shapes in the dark while driving at night, brain fog

Well, if there were an advert for wearing a helmet then that was it! Incredible how the most innocent looking spill can cause so much damage and really highlights the risks you guys take to do these races. You already know all the stories about concussion so I don't need to add to that, so just take care and fuss over Ladaman! :)

So sorry BK! What a nightmare and SO frustrating for you I'm sure. I've only been concussed once (hockey stick to the face) and I rested one day before trying to play - I lasted 5 mins! I felt fine but I could tell I was a little slow reading what was happening and then a little slow reacting which would be catastrophic for you. Sorry mate!

the whole uci concept with semi finals makes it all so much more dangerous, because riders have to risk so much before the race is even happening - and it doesn't even do anything for the viewers because we cant see it anywhere anyway!
