I didn't even know that Vals existed until I stumbled upon this video. As a native of Lynchburg VA. We call this food homecooked food that is good for the soul. Myself and my family are DEFINITELY gonna go to Vals for a homecooked delicious meal. Thanks for sharing

Val’s looks like my kind of restaurant! David, I would have gotten exactly what you got!! Meatloaf is one of my favorites as well as beef tips and rice & gravy. And don’t forget the banana pudding!! Looks great!!

Definitely good food! Everything was fresh and delicious. Just good home cooking. David loved that pound cake and the banana pudding. I was surprised at how much he liked the meatloaf. The service was wonderful too!

You can't go wrong with the catfish. This is one of those local places that you know you will get a good meal at. David, who is not a huge meatloaf fan, loved the meatloaf. He really wants to try the hamburger steak there. Thanks for watching and commenting!

The first thing I noticed at Val’s was how good everything looked on the buffet it was like they stocked it up good and fresh cause they knew the Vafunseekers was coming to do their thing ! Lol I know she didn’t know but , did you get there when it first opened? It looked like a lot of good option I would of got that chicken Cindy got I like the crispy char on the skin that’s my favorite . The desserts looked really good and I loved a lot of the side option . Seems like Val knows her customers and it’s like a family there instead of a business which makes it nice . Val definitely treats you like family. We were there shortly after they opened. They had probably been open about half an hour or so. The BarBQ chicken was delicious. David loved that meatloaf. Which is unusual for him. I'm sure it was similar to eating in Ren's Country Kitchen.
