I had dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. After destroying my arm playing D1 baseball that became an impossibility. I went into the Marines which I am extremely proud of. Blessings come in disguises as well. What at first seemed like the end of the world opened up the door to doing something I hadn't previously considered and not a day goes by where I don't cherish the memories with my fellow Marines. So many haters smh. Lovely speech, whether or not you memorized it or said it from the heart, it was inspirational. Many people on here are just hating. I am a rising Senior with so much work to do, I probably won't have time to have fun or anything. Changing schools in the middle of high school, to one with more requirements will do that to you. I liked your speech. I'm a writer. I don't write much anymore, but I still do, and I want to continue doing so because I love it. This speech made me realize that my dream to write is not dead. No one ever discouraged me, but I know that writing alone will not be enough to live off of.

@NeokingTech7 жыл бұрын
Well, he clearly memorized everything he planned to say, and his speech is not without its cliches, but nevertheless, he still had an impressive delivery. Lots of people here are saying that he'll likely become mediocre, and I'm not sure that's likely; after all, he is val, and it takes a lot of hard work to get there, so I'm sure his fire is not yet extinguished. However, it's clear that this guy is an optimist who follows the mantra that you'll always be able to follow your dreams, and that's obviously not true. No one should be discouraged from at least attempting to follow their heart's desire, but for pete's sake, you have got to devise a Plan B because of Plan A's improbability. Bright dude, just needs to be a bit morea real.

Uh So Just A Question Why Do People Think A Valedictorian Is Such A High Honor, I Mean I Guess Having The Best Grades Is Good But Honestly What Makes Them Different From Those Who Aren't They Could As Well Fail To, What Are They Least Likely To Fail Because That Is A Lie, I Knew People Who Were A Valedictorian And Have A Lowpaying Job So Why Are They So Special. I'm Just Saying This Because People In The Comments Say " Oh You'll Never Come Close To A VALEDICTORIAN "
@ukrd947 жыл бұрын
Thief Ninja because getting good grades is hard for most kids much less having high enough grades to be a valedictorian. I graduated at the top of the class and the second best was far behind where I was. So he is special. We all are, but he had a great mind that can store much more than your topical high schooler. Most dont care enough to get A's because they want to start working right away while valedictorians might not always care but they still get through high school at the top. So you know they have to be different.

And the people who have those voices who say those sentiments have power and can make decision That decides. Whether they do fail or whether they graduate, you can be expelled and someone can give you a bad grade just because they don't like you. They've done it before teachers are not unfallible. They are not perfect beings and they should not expect the same of us. We have to get everything perfect throughout the entirety of our lives. At what point do we no longer need math? Or science or history or english or biology or someone and so forth. We need it at first, but do we really need it forever? Especially if we want to go into something very specific. We have a dream to have an occupation that has nothing to do with some other thing. Yet you expect us to know that thing Inside and out or we don't move up. And if we can't do it ourselves without help, then we are meaningless. That's what you tell us and we take that in and we kill ourselves I was suicidal. And now I realize the truth that the teachers aren't willing to die on a hill. They're willing to kill on it. They are willing to sacrifice us for the sake of their curriculum and not change it to better suit us because we all learn differently and to force us to learn how they learn is to make us become them. We are our own people. And I will not become. Some twisted amalgamation of my teachers Thoughts and ideals. I don't care how many times I have to say it until this sentiment is said. By someone else the teacher's f****** face. Although I can't completely blame the teachers because A lot of them do care and actually, we'll change so that way it better suits you and better shoots everyone else. Achieving. What lots of people think is impossible and for a lot of people. It isn't possible because they don't have enough resources Time energy Or they think that why should I care when my paycheck doesn't reflect how much I care? And that is fair, but it isn't fair to us the students.

Great speech but not all dreams come true snowflake. Not everyone can be an astronaut, an NFL football player, a runway model, a best seller. Sure don't give up on your dreams but more importantly...don't stay down when your dreams fail. Failure is all part of the game...how quickly you can recover from failure is the true mark of a successful person. The quicker you can get back up...the better. And don't be upset if your quest for your dream starts out by mopping floors. You have to earn your stripes.
