I have a larger version of this in a sofa format. The problem for me is the seat back is a convex shape. Most comfortable seat backs have a concave shape that spreads out your weight. These put it all in the middle. I can’t sit in it for more than 10 minutes before back pain sets in.

You brought up some points that I never would have thought of, like putting the tray table on the same side as your drink. Seems that they build most of their seating for the average sized person. They do make a XL model for larger guys.

AT the 7:00 mark you explain exactly my issue with the Octane xl700 seats I just bought. The headrest is hitting me in the shoulders. It's a HEAD rest, not a back - shoulder rest. I'm 5 foot eleven; are all these theater seats made for shorter people? Will even the XL (extra large) searies of Valencia put the head-rest up where the head is? Thanks for the review.

Not many really tell it like it is when it comes to seating. First, 6’7” is big and I don’t think any recliner would be long enough for you short of something custom and mega bucks. I had 4 seats that I finally gave away in favor of a overstuffed sectional sofa with 2 chaise on each end and electric recliners in the middle. Sofa is just much more comfortable.

I have an unfortunate real-life situation happening right now. 3 years ago, based on many recommendations, I purchased the Valencia Tuscany seating. I really enjoyed their comfort. Recently, the buttons on the three seats have stopped functioning properly. The middle seat flickers. I reached out to support last week to report this. They informed me that the warranty is over but they could sell me replacement parts after I send photos of the furniture. I did so and have not heard back. Had I known the electronic would go out on these chairs after 3 years I would not have purchased them. I am now looking at Audio Advice for their offerings. I am very disappointed in what I thought would be a high standard brand of home theater seating.

Lumbar support works great when sitting upright. However, when reclining back fully it is uncomfortable for long viewing sessions, puts odd pressure on the mid back. Lumbar positioning shifts upward towards the mid back as the seat extends forward. If you scoot up to reposition there is no seat support to hold you since there is now a slight gap. I put a pillow under my butt inbetween the gap to get more comfortable

Well, you dont need the lumber support when you are laying back dude...deflate it some. Lumber support has to do with giving support in the upright position..when your lower back is holding you upright.

I got to say I am not a big fan of the Tuscany. I have it and returning it for the Campania. The head rest ends up hitting the back of the neck unless you slouch down a bit and then your legs hang over the end more and not your ankles resting. I am 5'11". Also the arm rests are to wide a part and ironically I am not a thin guy and there is no arm rest to rest your arms on. Most of it is at the back of the chair and the rest is taken up by cup holder and the tray holder device. That is my biggest gripe. I prefer a recliner with full arm rests that are plush and full. The lumbar support ends up to high in he back. It works better on the Campania as well. But only when sitting upright. On top of it it all because of the wall-hugging design, the reclining part ends up pushing the seating forward leaving even less arm rest space. Like I said I like some of their other seating Valencia have. They have good quality chairs for sure. It's just for me the arm rest part bugs me a lot. The head rest part is actually "fixed" on the ultimate luxury version because on that one it goes up and down, so it leave space for shoulders. It sort of extends upwards a bit when you use the headrest. This chair gets rave reviews all the time, but I have a feeling it's a lot of these guys being supplied for free these seating.

I bought a set of Valencia seats. 1.5 years after purchasing them both control panels failed. I had to pay $120 for each seat to replace them. After searching the internet there were multiple postings on the home theater sites citing the same issue. It is a well known problem. This should be covered by the manufacturer. Do your research before buying or purchase the 5 year warranty.

All these you tubers offering up a hundred dollar discount. And it had better be $1999 and not $1998.99 or they'll tell you no can do. And how is it supposedly nobody had trouble with their delivery and I've had nothing but trouble, even to the point that they delivered a 65inch 8K Samsung TV (which if I knew then what I know now I should have just kept) instead of my correct chair? And we were promised trays that were back-ordered would be delivered in May. May is almost over. I can't be the only one who has had trouble with delivery or fulfilling the order properly.

No Joseph, you are not the only person to have issues with this company. I called and spoke with a manager, and I was told to just be happy with the quality chair. I noticed how the reviews on their webpage has all 5 stars, they are only letting the 5 star reviews post... lol

They are a bunch of junk. Out of 4 chairs, they all broke within 1 year. But they look good. Service sucks two. They sent me new parts (I had to pay for them) and they were used, in open bags missing the trim pieces. The parts didn't work either. The chairs were also damaged when they were delivered. They replaced 1 chair, but it took months to get it. I still have 4 broken chairs!!

LOL...I feel ya man, but at 6'7" you're like 0.1% of the population or less haha. Also, how do the trays work for using your mouse? seems like the elbow is down low and the tray is up high and you'd have trouble using a mouse....but it's hard to tell cuz you had the armrest up and didn't show how resting your arm on the armrest would work in terms of angle to the tray.
