The FP thanks again for sharing more destination in Paradise Islands of The Philippines 😎. Been to lots of islands of The Philippines but not dumaguete ☺️. FP when are you going to take us to meet the Aetas. I love the Aetas ♥️. Met some of them in Manila, Pampanga and even Boracay. Seeing them face to face and seeing the Chocolate Hills is still the most surreal and mind blowing facsinating experience in The Philippines.

NIce Filipino food feast, but OMG food got so expensive there, 200 piso for a squid stick in a local street grill?!? 2 years ago when i was there, you could get pork grill meat for like 5 -10 pesos per stick depending on a place!

I can see why so many Westerners would love to visit or Retire there. Pea another great video soon as things settle and no more Red Tape to travel to the Philippines Dumaguete City and Valencia is definitely the place I'm going to visit for a month or two. I truly like your videos and you not trying to dress it up and telling it like it really is. Sorry you and Girlfriends couldn't get that Burger you were craving for🤣 guess it wasn't meant to be. And thank you for going that extra On that epic walk up that Hill. Those little legs of yours must have been working overtime? As someone living in the New England region (Boston) here in the U.S., I was very interested in the lighthouse. Here lighthouses are a big part of how areas are marketed, especially in glossy books. This is the first lighthouse I've seen in the Philippines. The scenery in Valencia is amazing.

Sorry to dash your interest. This lighthouse was in another u-tube video and was not a lighthouse as an american would think. It was novelty building at a resort/hotel complex. Bottom area for storage. middle area X large room for rent as hotel room, top area all novelty no lighthouse lamp. Resort looked nice, BUT no lighthouse on coast beaming out a signal to warn ships of a rocky coastline. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news/dashed hopes.

@@kendonius4928 Ken: No need for apologies. I really appreciated the feedback. Given the beautiful lighthouses in Massachusetts, the "lighthouse" in Pea's video definitely caught my attention. But I did not realize that it was not a real one. I looked up the list of lighthouses in the Philippines. I was curious since the country is one island after another. The country has quite an impressive list, nevertheless. I was once on a boat cruise here in MA and the captain pointed to a famous lighthouse (it may have been Boston Light on Boston Harbor). I don't remember the description he gave but I certainly recall that it was very interesting watching the lighthouse from the ocean. Info like this gets my attention because it's related to my interest in fishing (surfcasting). How I wish I owned a boat. I've never fished from a boat. But I've never really been interested in fishing charters. I would find it infinitely more fun to fish from my own boat or that of a friend. I need to win the lottery!😀

My gf is from Valencia. I met her in late 2018, spent a year or so trying to save, get a passport, etc to see her. 2019 passed and immediately after, the pandemic hit. Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to go see her. :( I want to see her so bad.

I love everything I've found out about your lovely country, but one problem I have is aversion to hot climate. In my research, it looks like Tagatay City might be an option, as it's a bit cooler, but in another of your vids, you mention that in some areas, Filipinas are amenable to meeting and settling down with foreigners, while some areas, perhaps not so much. What is Tagatay City like in this regard? Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work!

Oh, Valencia public square. Not more than a stone throw away from my apartment! Tierra Alta is really nice, but so is Pulang Bato (but the pedicab broke down on the way there and we had to help push it up the hill) and Casaroro (but it's a death trap going down/up if it has been raining or even at dry conditions).

I just returned from a month in the PH to spend time with my wife, stepson, and her family. They live a short hike from some incredible views, similar to those in this video. And... Hi Pea. I remember spending a couple of days in Dumaguete in 2018. Seeing the Pulang bato falls and the red iron rocks was a nice afternoon. Also seeing the steam from the hot springs at the side of the road on the way there was also very interesting. Also remember spending a lazy Sunday afternoon at the Forest Camp with lots of areas for swimming in "Natural" pools. Really worth a visit. Just bring your own food and rent out an eating area with tables and shade. Some stunning flowers and beautiful areas for photos, and with a girl like you to put the cherry on the top. I loved the area of Dumaguete. I will be staying in Cadiz City for most of May and June, and have planned a couple of days in Dumaguete again in the middle of May. I enjoy your content of your channel and the information that you give.

if I was to get Married I am not sure I would want it at the lighthouse. maybe at the place with all the different Flowers or better yet under the water falls . That way knowing it is so hot people can change and go swimming to cool off. Then to enjoy the Honeymoon rent an Island with a beautiful sandy beach no one on it but you and you're new spouse . Romantic love songs A nice fire and the food would be already there waiting as well as the drinks . Stay on that Island a full week slow dancing cuddling and looking in to her eyes letting her know just how much you truly Love her and happy she wanted to be in you're arms. Then after a full week alone with the one you love back to the Country to make plans to where you want to build the house of our dreams with real hot showers large bathrooms with Jacuzzi bath tubs Cali king bed and a Kitchen most people would die for because I love to cook and bake. Back up power for when the power is out so would need Solar power and a large Generator. Indoor swimming pool because I cant be out in the heat lmao.

My plan is to spend time with my Filipina in misaims oriental and then travel around the Philippines until we find a place that we wanna live. She’s willing to do that for me. I would NEVER pay that kind of money for land in the Philippines.. 13,000 per sq m......that crazy!!!!!!!!! A 200sqm lot would cost 2,600,000ph, that 52,000 US dollar at the current rate!!! For a piece of land 42 ft X 42 ft. someone trying to get rich there!!

Rubber Shoes - aka Tennis Shoes in the West Chicken Feet - also known as "Adidas" in the Philippines. Lots of wonderful places to see when you get off the beaten tourist path there. The Philippines is actually very accomplished in baked goods such and breads, cakes and other treats, but you wouldn't know it unless you have been there. So yummy kaya!

The view going to the restaurant was certainly breathtaking (it certainly took your breath away, Pea! 🤣 ) Pity the first place was closed and the second had nothing appetizing. Pigeons: Rats with wings. 😒 They taste okay if prepared properly. I had pigeon truffle pie outside the Paris opera house that was pretty good back in the late 90's... Everything on a stick! How cool is that! Rice with everything (of course). Your fried calamari looked better than that squid dish. Definitely looking forward to more videos on Valencia, as it is one of my potential retirement destinations. Thanks for sharing your day with us, Pea!
