Valentine Day Special Hindi Short Film - Number9 | A Story of Beautiful Relationships

The family of a young girl, Aishi, is very worried about her marriage. An astrologer has told them that her birth date is scattered with the number 9 and this is causing undue delays in her marriage. She needs an Astro remedy to find love! Soon, Aishi meets a young man, Artav, in her office, and the two fall in love. But can the powerful planet Mars be conquered so easily? Can Aishi ever find true love?

I grew up believing in fairy tales. I grew uo with the strong conviction that good men do exist and if we want to attract them in our lives, we can only do it thorugh the power of our own good deeds. Number9's message is relevant even today when relationsiops seem to be so fragile. Be good, do good and watch what happens! Aishi, Artav and indeed all the charatcters have made this message come alive with their powerful acting. The foot tapping music by Archan and the lyrics of the song, "The One I Love is Near" helps take this message right to the heart. Priyanka's direction makes the story fun, youthful and relatable. it was not tantrumish. It was just being consequent to one's own inner values. Future mother in law behaved very symbiotical towards her son. And had an arrogant and hostile attitude towards the future bahu. Even didn't look up from her reading, when she sat on the sofa during their first encounter! Getting wife doesn't mean to accept being dominated by mother-in-law!

This story is really beautiful. But it is very difficult to change the society as shown in this short film. Even if a girl get educated and work, still they have to do households work. This is what everyone expects from girl cook food and do other household work after there office work. Very sad :(

Thanks for raising this issue. Aishi realized the depth of relationship between Artav and his mother and the emotional dependence of Artav's mother on Artav. If Aishi is not accepted by Artav's mother , either Artav or his mother's life will become hell. Being a superior human being Aishi didn't want any one of that. Hence she decided to sacrifice her love. It shows highest level of love and sacrifice . But if you kindly think quite deeply, I am sure, you would understand Aishi's character.

However, in the end she is conquered by love and herself says that she will share in the household work. So the mesage is this: today's modern girl can be swayed by love and not by domination and orders. direction was good...but seriously i couldnt understand...if the mom in law had a problem with the girl....why the girl started avoiding the boy....the boy used to love her.....whats the boys fault....and one fine day, the girl started avoiding the boy.....she could had talked with the boy about it, and if still the boy supported his mom, then the girl should had avoided the boy....agar, yae, blood donation wala situation arise nahi hota tau, boy and girl would not have made it....? waiting for the answer.

Sorry to piss to any one off and yea you can brand label and type cast me all you want. But what the hell, if his father was not critical, Aishi would never had got back to him, why ? Because his mother had some expectations ? And she refused to talk to a guy, who is respecting her so well, and this is the way to break up? Absolute stubbornness at this age, then how his mother being stubborn was bad ? I'm not defending her mother, but that is not something that was completely wrong. Dont understand this, why do some feel, doing house chores is waste of life I would have loved more conversation where Aishi tries to get it worked out in other ways, but alas the ego. Sorry , i dont agree on this attitude, ppl help you, doesn't means you carry thr ego along .
