To me, whats crazy is that nobody thought that the lanes in this show could potentially be confusingly difficult to navigate. Like, I don't blame some models for going the wrong way. There is toooo much spaces between the audience. At least put some sort of light on the floor for them to follow, or have the seats not be parallel and 7 feet apart. The set was POORLY designed for runway.

Did you also for get about Americans next top model and what they made models do?
@Imjusticebro2 жыл бұрын
@@youreannoying you’re name serves you right, even some of the greats have struggled on todays runway because of the unfit clothing and even more unfit runways. in the 90’s and 00’s runway was not as difficult as it is now, sure they may have been a smaller acceptance window nevertheless their clothing were a lot more functional now a days models have their face covered, in latex head-to-toe, with the boxiest heels in existence and are constantly being compared to naiomi campbell who walked super well in a summer dress that one time. I can tell you aren’t a runway model if you think it’s the models who have depleted, you can tell they aren’t allowed to do better because of the circumstances this isn’t a Victoria Secret runway they aren’t allowed to smile and enjoy themselves anymore. Look at Vouge World a recent runway from Vouge, the models were allowed to dance, smile, talk, and still showed off the clothes and that runway had to be one of the best this year plus the clothes were actually something you’d see someone wear or purchase, then look at the first clip of this video, they must stay stiff and focused because of the uncomfortable clothing they’re wearing. That alone is basically the difference between the 90’s and now, if you want good models, make good clothes and allow them to enjoy themselves, those are the truly timeless runways.

The funny thing is... the casting for this was JUST as chaotic, so a lot of us models behind the scenes were curious to see how the actual show would pan out. Crew members were running around, passing around these horrid stilettos (yes, their own brand), yelling at us to please size down if possible, because if the shoe flies off in front of the casting directors, "it's not gonna be good..." - meaning enough girls had shoes fly off their feet that the staff was panicked. There were immense delays, lots of standing around on swollen feet crammed into too-small, atrociously designed shoes. All of the girls you see on that runway went through that chopping block, and yet some still struggled to keep walking on that runway. YSL makes notoriously painful stilettos too... but you don't see models walking in agony and/or collapsing and/or whatever this circus this is. Also their casting environment/process was incredibly smooth and respectful of us (quick and there were lots of seats, everyone was told to bring their own heels, there were snacks, etc.). It's time Valentino fixes the craftsmanship of their product, not subjecting models to this nonsense. When a model falls, their career is at risk, and not just from the physical aspect. Valentino likes to use "new faces," so my heart breaks for any woman in the show that might've fallen/wobbled and might face consequences as a result.

Which means they all met the criteria and no smart designer who cares is gonna cast someone they know won't be able to walk in heels or so on. Also when soo many of them had the same issues- heels, confusion on where the runway is, and falling down stairs- that's a production team issue not the models. Either the heels are not designed correctly or don't fit correctly(one was broken at the strap). Also they obviously didn't have the models practice enough to know where the runway was well enough that when they were concentrated on staying upright and walking with the heel issues or clothing issues to remember it. In no way shape or form could the models be blamed for this. Especially bc of how many had issues. Honestly I hope so I’d rather it be a joke publicity stunt rather than a fashion show go entirely wrong

Honestly, this definitely wouldn’t be good in the long run. It makes the brand look cheap and like there’s poor craftsmanship, especially with the shoes. I think this was true incompetence.

I know a lot of people found it amusing, but its a fashion week , a lot of model starve themselves and walk 2 -3 shows or sometime have to attend obligatory after parties to showcase those tight designer samples in stilettoes, all in the span of 24 hours, that's alot. so be considerate in making fun of them.

Genuinely feel sorry for the models. Due to the bad unwearable design and shapes of these things (mainly the shoes) it can damage a model’s carrier so bad. We saw how competitive and cruel the industry is, the models will suffer.

Designers are a joke anyway (& I say this as a fashion ❤r). It used to be that if you saved, you could splurge on a designer item, but we’re getting to the point where only the super rich can even afford it anyway. I don’t even follow it anymore, bc there’s no point
@ЕкатеринаШишкова-о1р2 жыл бұрын
This is a real problem. Remember when Balenciaga made these 19th century dresses and while Naomi was slaying the massive black dress, the last model wore a huge white dress and the exit was too small for her. Slippery floors are too dangerous for models wearing high heels.

First off, it's not funny. A broken ankle or injured leg/back can hurt a model's career. It can put her off, not just runway shows, but photo shoots as well as perhaps some commercials. And hope like hell these injuries aren't permanent. It's not a joke.
