I rarely watch the Food Network anymore, it isn't that enjoyable anymore! Letting Valerie B . Go was the last straw!

For years, I have been faithful to watching the Food Network Channel. We are talking about all the way back to “The Two Fat Ladies” show. How I wish the network still carried shows like that. I watched Valerie’s Home Cooking and the Kids Baking Championship and still do. Now it looks like I will be finding other shows on other networks to watch. So sorry that the Food Network has decided that it shouldn’t be about cooking/learning/teaching, but rather disparaging competitions and shows with mediocre content. As a semi-viewer nowadays, if I hear the word “kale” I immediately change the channel. Five years of that is enough!

The food network has turned into nothing but a competition network. People who think they are chefs running around screaming at each other. Valerie is better off, cooking shows like hers that are actually educational are something of the past.

I have totally stopped watching Food Network. If they were trying to find a new demographic, they lost their loyal viewers.

In my honest opinion, I think they should have kept Valerie's show than Ree Drummonds" ("Pioneer Woman"). I watched Pioneer's show for almost a year and I have not made one of her recipes because they are so basic anyone can make them. I stop watching her show and watched other shows like Valerie and others on the Food Network instead No offense to "Pioneer Woman show" but Valerie's cooking show is a much better show because you learn to cook different dishes. On the other hand, "Pioneer" to me is nothing but a rehash of other recipes and the recipes are usually for "beginners".

I quit watching her. She was married to one man and still talked way too much about her first husband and her love for him. That didn’t say much for her character.
