Valerie Dore è solo un progetto musicale dei fratelli Nicolosi dei Novecento: Monica Stucchi è il volto del progetto, mentre Dora Carofiglio dei "Novecento" è la voce. Nel 1983 grazie alla casa discografica Merak Music esce il primo singolo del progetto Valerie Dore, “The Night”, che ottiene un notevole successo in tutta Europa; in seguito vengono pubblicati altri due importanti singoli: “Get Closer” del 1984 e “It’s so Easy” del 1985. Tutti i singoli sono stati registrati in studio con la fantastica voce di Dora.
