Totally. I was downloading the contra demo yesterday. While it was downloadingn I got curious so I checked out in youtube how it was... What a disappointment. I cancelled the download, and ordered Dead Cells instead... And Valfaris will be next, looks great!

Ahhhh I love slain back from hell, a game that i recommend, specially if it is on sale, although this is Sci fi, a different genre, but the game style is very similar, except for the gun, and a lot more polish, I love the art styles, like from a cover from an album, aw yeah this game looks even better than slain, looks so much fun, wonder if it has difficulty levels with puns on them, it seems like a game perfect for that, like the normal difficulty being something like :rock on!!!!

In another world, Konami would have bought this game (and studio), rebranded it Contra (something about killing aliens) and had a Sonic Mania style hit on their hands. I bought the game after watching the review and I fully agree with the final score and praise. I wish the devs had a publisher behind them cause you don't here a word about this game. Hopefully a sequel will get more publicity.

The reason I wonder is because just like you I really don’t like Slain but Valfaris ended up being one of my all time favorite game, I absolutely love it! That sound track is pretty damn amazing. Do you remember how when they ported Turrican 2 to consoles, they changed it into a licensed game for the Universal Soldier movie? Another game thrown into my backlog. Great review. My only complaint i have right now from what i have seen is that i wish the pixel art was a little cleaner. Its like it has blurred edges. I prefer these types of games to be much more crisp on the edges and cleaner so there is good separation between the objects. Deadcells is a good example.

My main issue with Slain is the weird framerate, feels like the characters and enemies are moving at 60fps but the background and the scenario is moving at 30fps, makes it hard to look at, at least that's how it feels on the Switch.

Dont forget u also trade toke s for bloodmetal at the end of a course. So not only do u get more hp n energy but also more upgrades.u can only trade in 2 so u cant just blow thru first coil levels and fully upgrade there is a cap. That way theres a benefit to using em as well

@@SwitchUpYt I remember going to see Alien Resurrection twice at the cinema. I've no idea why, that film had some HUGE issues. I didn't hate it but it was a step in the wrong direction. What the hell was that newborn bollocks at the end! Both AVP films were a bit off but also throw away fun in there own way. I thought Prometheus was great and Alien Covenant was even better. Hope they do make a third to lead into the original film.
