Breathtaking. Stupid question: how do you ensure that outside structures don't get damaged by rain? New to the game - but I would feel gutted to spend time doing something like this just to see it ruined after the first storm.

welcome to the game & good question, the game it self with vanilla setting the wood will get dmg but not destroyed, so the colour will look different, but lucky there is mod that counters it link:( www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/200 ). *here is a life hack for the fence, if you stick wood half way into stone it wont get dmg* I know i hate the rain too......i wish they remove that from the game.

Roofs and stone do not get damaged by rain. Also rain will only damage it to 75% or so. The weathering effect on exposed wood floors is a cool look.

You don't need infinite resources at all to build. Keep in mind, you can move between realms while carrying overburdened amount of material. You can use this system to start a new world, chop all the wood and mine every stone, and bring them back to your main realm. You can completely destroy the ecosystem of a world and mine everything, then delete the realm and create another. Rinse repeat. You can even do this with iron mining, you can simply log out of a realm in middle of a crypt, dump all the iron you mined in your main realm, and log back in in middle of the crypt where you left off. Without any mods or creative mode, you can quickly gain massive amounts of resources by traversing realms this way.

Nice building! One question, how did you put this plants 10:21 ? I put the turnip seeds and it says they are too close and they wont grow

you have to space them other a bit more around each of them, it is hard to see in the preview section but there is a marginal distance you have to test and test make sure it is not near wood you place to box it in

As mentioned in the description, I used gizmo mode for decor, with that mod i could rotate it

I actually plan on releasing the world save once i hit 1k subs because it does just have one build but most of my recent ones all over, i am very close so dnt think its gonna take long, also have another build going to drop hopefully tomorrow which is gonna be on it :D

How did you make the stone pillars that way where they are coming out a little but still flush?

You free hand place the first piece but aiming at the ground and slowly slide it in as much as u can at the edge, then u snap the rest easy going up.
